Yep. They have shows on TV where lottery winners win and splurge like the Dickenson, and end up miserable and broke. With simple needs a lottery win can cover those simple needs the rest of a person’s life easily, and then some-
Yup. That’s the smart way of doing it.
New brake pads for the Cavalier
… don’t forget the rotors, and you could pay someone to install them…😀
I’d have to cash it in just to buy the motorhome!
That’s the most I have ever one on a lottery.
I’ve had better luck with scratch-offs.
I want a big house in Beverly Hills, with a cement pond. Actually, I don’t, because there’s no way I’d live in Southern California, no matter how much money I had.
I’d get a country house outside of Lucerne SWI.
California was an awesome place to be in the 80’s.(SJ)
They ruined the most beautiful and physically diverse land in America.

When asked what he would do if he won the lottery, he replied: “Well, I guess I’d just put it against the bills as far as it would go.”
If I won, I could finally afford a new paint job on my 26 year old Chevy S10.
Why spend mi,lion building a replica when you can buy the real thing for $350,000.

A familiar sight in local ports for more than 100 years, she is listed on the register of National Landmarks and dear to the hearts of many.

Some states offer a class in ‘what to do now that you’ve won’.
Rush, back in the mid-90s, hosted several callers who had won the lottery. One recounted that his state told him not to go home. Hire someone to fetch any pets or keepsakes. He was told that by the time he got home there would be fifty people waiting in his front yard wanting to sell him something or looking for a handout.
He told about receiving multiple calls along the lines of ‘You probably don’t remember me but my cousin was in your ninth grade class. She’s been in a bad car wreck and the hospital won’t treat her until we give them $20000. Can you wire us the money now’.
He also said the post office asked if he could pick up his mail in person because they were getting a couple of duffle bags of solicitations for him every day.
I remember visits to CA in the 60s and 70s. It was a wonderful place. In fact, I came close to being born and raised in southern California. My dad mustered out of the Air Force in 1953, and one of his college classmates lived in Huntington Beach and told him how great it was there. He took a sightseeing detour to the Pacific Northwest and decided to settle in Portland (which was also a wonderful place long ago).
One of my brothers lives in Orange County these days. I’d love it if he’d move away from there, but he doesn’t want to move too far from his kids and grandkids. Maybe if I had a few hundred million I could transplant the whole tribe.
🤔
I WON!!! OK,only 3 of my numbers came in but it won me $20. $9 of which went into next Mega Millions and the rest into my pocket.
Bad things can happen to you when you live on the tails of the Bell-curve.
Meh.
This old Boatswain’s Mate would rather have the Orca from Jaws.
I remember Rush saying that once he made it big, he had to hire a guy who’s only job was to say, “No.”
