Kombucha is commonly available and you can make it at home with a starter mix.

A drop of 166 to 116 mg/dl is amazing, especially since most kombuchas have at least some sugar in it, to help it ferment.

164 to 116 milligrams per deciliter

Great result, now need a much larger trial.

Most commercial kambuchas have a LOT of sugar.

The popular brand with ginger has as much as Pepsi.

The home made ones without a lot of sugar can be very challenging to drink. A friend’s wife used to offer me one made with kale, explaining it would give me long life.

I told her if long life tastes like that I’m happy to die early

As a rule, I never drink anything I can’t pronounce.

Well that’s nice, but all the typical prohibitions remain.

The sugars ferment. I love fermented everything. I have batches of kambucha and vegetables going constantly. The kambucha ‘mother’ is a scary looking slimy blob thay does the magic and keeps growing and growing. It is a fun hobby and super easy to do with no real equipment needed. I don’t have diabetes but I can tell from my gut when I haven’t had the probiotics.

I rarely buy kombucha because of the high sugar content. do you have a recipe for kombucha with low/no sugar?
