Joe Rogan cracked open a can of Bud Light and took a sip — defying calls to boycott the beer over its tie-up with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Rogan began his wildly popular Spotify podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” on Tuesday by welcoming his guest, country music star Zach Bryan, with a toast in which they both raised cans of Bud Light.
“We’re drinking Bud Light, ladies and gentlemen,” Rogan declared at the start of the three-hour broadcast.
Rogan, anticipating fury from his many conservative-leaning listeners, offered a sarcastic apology.
“Sooooorry,” he exhaled.
“People are silly,” Rogan added.
Bryan, who received backlash online after he defended Bud Light and Mulvaney, also commented on the expected reaction on social media, adding: “We’re f–ked.”
“There’s nothing wrong with it,” replied the standup comedian and MMA announcer, whose podcast commands an audience that numbers an estimated 11 million listeners. Are you really that clueless about our media?
I don’t know what’s more disturbing; the fact that Rogan is a sellout, or that he is willing to drink Bud Light under any circumstances.
I’m thinking he bought a huge chunk of their stock after it plummeted and is now trying to make it go up.
How much did AB give him for this.
Just because you have lots of "FU money" doesn't in any way imply that you wouldn't go out of your way to acquire even more "FU money". (see Biden, Joseph Robinette).
Except Rogan’s never displayed any proclivity in the past to go “out of his way” for more money. And he’s old enough that we should have expected to see some sign of that if that’s how he was.
So you can’t answer a simple question. Got it.
Alissa Heinerscheid's video where she insults the Bud Light customers was probably more damaging than partnering with Mulvaney. If Budweiser hadn't insulted their own customers they would have had a chance to get out of the mistake of partnering with Mulvaney. Some old fashioned frat-boy humor ads wrapped around Mulvaney might have allowed Budweiser to save their brand. But not after what Heinerscheid said in her video.
When’s big Joe gonna have Mulvaney on the podcast ? Maybe he could kiss him to show how broad minded he is. I mean he wouldn’t t do something silly and refuse, would he?
Bud Light thinks their customers are SUCKERS and fools and will drink their swill no matter what Bud Light does to them
Not sure about good bear but it is not good beer.
Exactly. Joe Rogan needs to be called out incessantly on social media until he has Dylan Mulvaney on his podcast and also invites him to spend time with his family.
I believe he would do that, called out or not. It’d be good publicity for his show, and give the woke idiots something to think about, assuming they can think.
I like Stout, Porter, dark beer generally. Will not drink light horse-p!ss no matter who’s pitching it.
This one thing tells you everything you need to know? How shallow.
He’s too baked.
