We have a MLK Blvd here too.
Used to be called ‘Freedom Way’. Was fairly new road when renamed and not much there except trees and a few houses. Was one of the roads to Hurlburt Field part of Eglin AFB. It also connected to a nearby black neighborhood. Several businesses and an apartment complex there now, but still lots of woods.
The local ‘activists’ wanted to rename Eglin Parkway, a main road and lots of businesses on the way to Eglin AFB.
County said ‘No’........................
Yeah, that’s like a tattoo......once you get it, it’s pretty much permanent.
