LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - This story began December 1 at 5 p.m. with a phone call to our newsroom from a horrified University Hospital employee. The employee claimed security had just wheeled an elderly woman all the way out to the corner of Hancock and Ali, just off hospital property, dumped the woman out of the wheelchair on the sidewalk and left.

Sounds like something Big Mike would approve.
The rich man and Lazarus.
Next time I need medical treatment for anything, I will stay the hell away from Ky.
Next time I need medical treatment for anything, I will stay the hell away from Ky. The hospital administrator needs to be executed because he/she are respondible.
The guys on the video must be getting paid by the word. I bailed after I fell asleep, woke up and found them still talking with no significant video.
Mooch was on the legal team for a chicago hospital where she routed poor patients with not great insurance to other hospitals, in order to free up space for canadians and other foreigners paying cash, and people with excellent paying healthcare plans.
I know a person in NJ that was trying to get any news on their Dad that was in the hospital during Covid. They never got anywhere over the phone or in person at the desk.
After days of the run-around they sneaked into the hospital and finally found him. He had on a diaper that hadn’t been changed in days, vomit on his shirt, etc. He was in a large room with similar patients in beds. They put him in a wheel chair and took him out the front door!
Horrifying!
Booting “undesirables” out of hospitals used to be Barry Obama’s husband’s no-show job in Chicago.
Oops, beat me to it.
I live in NJ, and I’d imagine the problems are national; when a friend was hospitalized we set up a rotation so they were rarely unaccompanied (because you will just be ignored otherwise). Another took an unpaid leave of absence to stay with a parent because the patient was found in a similar state (unchanged diaper, uncovered in a cold hospital).
I pity those without someone to look out for them, and I suspect this will worsen as more people are childless.
This is nothing new. Michelle Obama’s job at the University of Chicago Medical Center/School was “moving” poor clients to “more appropriate” facilities.
Kaiser in California also got popped in 2007 for literally dumping homeless and derelict patients. Sometimes right on LA’s Skid Row.
Check out the first three paragraphs of the Obama story. It’s a “Who’s Who” of Chicago democrat politics.
Sen. Barack Obama’s wife and three close advisers have been involved with a program at the University of Chicago Medical Center that steers patients who don’t have private insurance — primarily poor, black people — to other health care facilities.
Michelle Obama — currently on unpaid leave from her $317,000-a-year job as a vice president of the prestigious hospital — helped create the program, which aims to find neighborhood doctors for low-income people who were flooding the emergency room for basic treatment. Hospital officials say such patients hinder their ability to focus on more critically ill patients in need of specialized care, such as cancer treatment and organ transplants.
Obama’s top political strategist, David Axelrod, co-owns the firm, ASK Public Strategies, that was hired by the hospital last year to sell the program — called the Urban Health Initiative — to the community as a better alternative for poor patients. Obama’s wife and Valerie Jarrett, an Obama friend and adviser who chairs the medical center’s board, backed the Axelrod firm’s hiring, hospital officials said.
As someone who lives in a state where hospitals and ERs have closed due to non-paying patients, I’m not sure what the answer is; our “first care” clinics are a workaround because they won’t see you without all of your info - but they can’t do as much as an ER. Basically the government requires ERs to treat patients regardless of means to pay (or legal status in this country), then continuously cuts the reimbursement for such care - eventually closing the hospital (or at least the ER part). While paying for care for Americans seems noble enough, doing so in a state flooded with illegals is ridiculous.
This sounds like a good plan for illegals
leftist cat ladies deserve this as their fate
Yes, uncanny isn't it, some 2000 years later. Only thing missing are the dogs licking the patient's wounds.
We are still the same rotten humanity which Christ came to save.
Well, men are facing it as well, no?
