‘Drunk driver’ Jamie Komoroski upset upon learning she’ll remain in jail for allegedly killing just-married South Carolina bride

The woman charged with drunkenly crashing into a golf cart, killing a just-married South Carolina bride, was visibly upset in court Tuesday as a judge refused to spring her from jail.

Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, breathed heavily and looked close to tears when she appeared at the proceedings via video.

The New Jersey native was dressed in a striped prison jumpsuit as Circuit Judge Michael Nettles ruled that she will remain in custody while awaiting trial on a slew of charges related to the April 28 wreck that killed Samantha Miller, 34, and left the groom and two others seriously injured.

“[Komoroski] didn’t just kill my child,” Miller’s mother, Lisa, said tearfully during the hearing.

“She killed all of us.”

I don’t think she has gone to trial yet. She’s in the clink awaiting trial. Which is where she should stay! One article I read said she was driving 65 mph, 45 over the speed limit.

I’m not defending the drunk woman in any way, however, why should it be legal to drive golf-cart type vehicles on any road traveled by full-sized ICE of EV autos?

Full-sized Ice of EV autos? Why not just say golf carts vs full-size vehicles..?

But I guess you've never visited a coastal State? Every single beach I've ever been to, especially a bit away from the downtown tourist trap area, is full of roads with cars and golf carts. Every summer vacation house has one, and half the rental houses, they also rent a cart for a day or three. Some beaches are cart-only, plus they're easier to find parking or squeeze through. These cities usually have a couple main streets designated no-golf cart, but otherwise they're all over.

Also, most golf courses/country clubs encompass a large area, crossing a couple mooin streets and they usually have golf cart crossings or even a short golf cart lane sometimes.
