A female staff member of Barack Obama had been with chef Tafari Campbell when he tragically drowned while paddle-boarding in a pond beside the former president's estate in Martha's Vineyard, DailyMail.com has learned.
The woman, who was on a separate paddle board, had tried in vain to reach Campbell after he had fallen off but was ultimately forced to return to shore to summon help.
It was a Secret Service agent who then phoned emergency services from the Obama compound in Edgartown to report the incident, sources told DailyMail.com.
On shore, the witness spoke with investigators and was lucid and clear, exhibiting no signs of intoxication, according to insiders.

The chef was kept on by the Obamas after the White House.
The chef lives in Virginia.
The Obamas' main residence is in DC.
The Obama's were not in Martha's Vineyard
Hmm, not sure why the chef was there then. But kudos to the boss if he allows beloved employees to use his summer mansion when he's not there. Must be a wonderful guy!

He didn’t know how to swim? If he didn’t know how why wasn’t a life vest used and why couldn’t the female companion save him.
Possibly, he fell off the board and hit it thereby breaking his neck.
Possibility II, he fell off and couldn’t swim and the female who couldn’t swim either jumped in and panicked and pushed him under.
Possibility III, the female was really Obama and they had a fight, the Chef lost and that’s how Obama got a black eye.

He supposedly entered the water from a paddle board. So he not only couldn't swim, it seems he couldn't hang on. Perhaps the sharp blow to his head from a heavy blunt object before he fell off had something to do with that.
Disappointing. I expected better lies.
