What swamp did Trump drain?
If anything, he made it deeper, filling his administration with old Bush cronies who he refused to fire.
The Deep State today is deeper and more powerful than ever thanks to Trump.
And yet you call everyone else "establishment" candidates.
Would Trump have ever fired a Soros prosecutor? Not a chance. He'd just tweet about how unfair it all is. At least DeSantis gets stuff done. Trump just talks a good game and you all eat it up.
The Deep State today is deeper and more powerful than ever thanks to Trump.
I'd say, "in spite of Trump."
The most obvious answer, and it’s not at all clear why you don’t see it, was the undercutting of Korean tensions. The Deep State went crazy, mostly in the form of Bolton.
Yet there he was, undoing a major Swamp revenue source in the form of Korean garrison.
As to the use of GOP people to staff positions, I don’t think he realized the depth of the filth. They likely made good sounds in the interviews about how they would root out Swamp activity. Remember his Secy of State choice was absolutely NOT a career politician. But he didn’t last because he was told every day how to keep the Swamp intact rather than follow the President’s path. This is not an unusual State Dept reality. They are nearly always ultra doves. Exxon didn’t have doves and hawks. He could not work with that staff.
This time upcoming . . . this is the source of Swamp terror. They know there will be no GOPe nominations. He’ll bring in people like construction contractor businessmen to run HUD. This is a huge threat to the filth.
