This might have something to do with the increase in hospital services:

The Boomers are enrolling in Medicare in record numbers and they are using it! Consequently, costs are rising.

When you turn 65, you have no choice. You are FORCED onto it.

And I hate it with a passion. It's crap *insurance*.

13% increase? Not possible according to BEA last month medical insurance decreased by 25% (that’s how they got a 3% read)!

Last year I was talking to the wife of a top surgeon in my location and it came up both of them went to a medical school graduation ceremony.

The graduates of hospital administrations were lauded way more than the med school graduates.

I have needed people in all kinds of professions and trades but I have never needed a hospital administrator.

“It's crap insurance.” How so? Hubby has been on Medicare for over 5 years and we are very happy with it.

Question for everyone: What does your Medicare SUPPLEMENT plan actually cover that Medicare alone doesn't?

Do you have it to pay for Medicare's copays and deductibles?

The prescription plan is awful The donut hole and all.

Also, I needed to see a nutritionist because of food allergies and they won’t cover it because they only cover nutritionists for diabetes and kidney issues. Like nobody else in the world would need to see a nutritionist for a valid reason.

And then we just got another bill where they are barely covering an ECG. I haven’t had one in YEARS.

We’ve been blindsided by large medical bills because of things they don’t cover.

Our supplement plan wouldn’t cover anything Medicare didn’t.

If Medicare rejected the claim, so did the supplemental.

So we were spending far more on the supplemental ins that we were getting reimbursed by the supplemental. It wouldn’t cover Medicare’s co-pays and deductibles.

We need to secure our elections first.

And get rid of electronic voting machines.

High tech is the only way to steal a landslide.

The premiums for the Medical Supplement policies for Part B and Part D (outpatient care and prescriptions) continued to rise for my wife and me. We were spending over $5000/yr on those two supplements. We found that the Medicare Advantage Programs were much better for us. No additional cost other than continuing to pay for the Part B amount (but no supplement program) and no part D. Low co-pays to see primary care - slightly higher for specialists. Can see any physician that will accept Medicare. Additional benefit for hearing aids, glasses, and quarterly allowance for OTC things like Aspirin, Tylenol, cold medications, female care products etc. So far have not found any down side of the Medicare Advantage PPO plan. Open enrollment starts in October and we will review other companies offers then as their coverages change yearly. It’s best to stay on top of it.

We looked into it when we realized what was going on and switched. Our concern was that it’s virtually impossible to actually truly compare medical plans and once we switched from the retirement supplemental insurance, you can’t go back.

So we did go with Medicare Advantage and so far it has saved us a lot of money.

You are absolutely right on Advantage programs.

For no additional cost I get dental, vision, international, ambulance, and other overages.

I even get an annual $350 “wallet benefit” that can be applied to a variety of items including wearable health devices.

I got a large iPhone 8 for a net cost of $12. (Costco had $60 off + 5% from credit card at wholesale clubs + 2% back from Costco.)

Easy IF the FBI wasn’t corrupt - they could add fake names to voter rolls in every precinct and swing state then wait to see if the non-existent people were ‘voted’. Then they can start the search of finding WHO voted the people.

Yes the retirement plans, especially here in Texas for teachers, threatens you to stay with them saying that “if you leave our plan you can never come back!” My answer to them was “Why would I ever want to?” They had no answer !!
