I had a friend at the first Astoria Grande docking protest in Batumi. He said the Russians were very arrogant. When asked about the Russian-occupied parts of the Republic of Georgia, one Russian said, “They are ours, this is the Soviet Union now.”
Most Georgians were outraged that the ship was allowed to visit Batumi.

I believe that's a fake story, just more propaganda. The Ukrainian activists on FR insist that we treat Russia like it's the USSR and your anecdote just 'happens' to support Ukie talking points. What a coincidence. And this fake incident will now be cited as 'The Russians admit....blah blah blah."
