A daredevil climber fell to his death from a high-rise building in Hong Kong after last being seen knocking on a window on the 68th floor.
Remi Lucidi, 30, also known as “Remi Enigma”, was seen by a building worker knocking from the outside of the window, suggesting he may have been trapped and asking for help, reported the South China Morning Post (SCMP).
Tregunter Tower, which Mr Lucidi fell from on Thursday, is located in the city’s upscale Mid-Levels area.
The Frenchman had fallen 721ft to his death by the time the police arrived and officers found his camera, containing video of extreme sports. Mr Lucidi, who described himself as a Hong Kong-based photographer, had climbed structures across the world to capture selfies.
According to media reports, Mr Lucidi arrived at the Tregunter building at 7.30pm on Thursday, telling a security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor, although the resident named has since denied knowing him.
CCTV footage revealed that the climber took the elevator to the 49th floor and then the stairs to level 68 before forcing open the door to the rooftop.
His most recent Instagram posts show nail-biting snapshots from towering structures in Lisbon, Dubai and Bulgaria.
In one shot in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, Mr Lucidi is seen balancing on a metal ladder with one hand and one foot while taking a picture of himself with a selfie stick using the other hand – the Bulgarian countryside far below.

C’est la vie, c’est la guerre, c’est la splatte!
I see a yellow school bus. Who doesn’t love a yellow bus?...
Oh, I soooo want to post a thread with a video someone referenced a couple of days ago
biting your tongue is proof that a life time of practice does not equal perfect. I never understand rock climbing and other activities that can lead to death by a single mistake.
What is his name now? Remi Plana?
Not the fall that killed him, the abrupt sudden stop did him in.
I’d be surprised if the windows are able to be opened on the 68th floor of a skyscraper.
The worker then opened the window to see what he wanted. Unfortunately, the window opened outward.
Yep, broken bones at the least.
Very possibly crippled for life.
Or it can kill you.
Apparently happened to one guy from high school; not long after we graduated. He was rock climbing ..... and fell.
I didn’t know him at all but I knew his name. From what little I knew, decent enough of a guy. Barely made it into his 20s.
Adrenalin junkies die young.
It appears he won’t be pulling that stunt any more.
At least he died doing what he hated.
Sad, but man, we told ya’ so.
Didn’t he learn anything from Stockton Rush?
“What is his name now? Remi Plana?”
Parta Terra Firma methinks. ;)
World Trade Center? Tragic beyond words
This guy? He knew what he was in for.
Was he vaxxed?
I guess he made his mark.
He got his 15 minutes of fame.
Play stupid games,
Not your typical cheese-eating Frenchman.
Further, John Kerry (the supposedly French-looking loser) would not go up just one floor without an elevator. FWIW
