One spring day, toward the end of his senior year,
Ferris gives in to an overwhelming urge to cut
school and head for downtown Chicago with his girl
(Mia Sara) and his best friend (Alan Ruck), to see the
sights, experience a day of freedom
and show that with a little ingenuity,
a bit of courage and a red Ferrari,
life at 17 can be a joy!

Mia Sara was hot. I liked her in Legend as well.
Ferris Bueller is kindof a fun romp, but I always thought it was overrated.
@EEGator, I feel that Legend was underrated in the fantasy genre. The soundtrack by Tangerine Dream makes the atmosphere. Mia is easy on the eyes
Tangerine Dream has done a ton of solid work.
My favorite part in Ferris is when the music plays while they look at the art.
Minus Mia at the pool…
FR needs to have a “who was hotter” debate.
Mia Sara or Phoebe Cates?
I think it’s Mia, but she didn’t get out of a pool in slow motion and release the hounds…
Mia, hands down.
“The Chicago-area home where Ferris Bueller’s friend Cameron famously “killed” his father’s prized Ferrari finally has a new owner.
Crain’s Chicago Business reports that the modernist home in Highland Park sold Thursday for $1.06 million, five years after it first came on the market.”

Mia Sara or Phoebe Cates?
Depends. Bikini top on, or bikini top off?
Definitely Phoebe!
My Son-In-Law grew up in Glencoe. He took us around to where some of John Hughs’ films were shot. We saw the Home Alone house, the church where they shot the exterior wedding scenes for 16 Candles, the stone wall by Lake Michigan where Cameron lay in a catatonic state after his Dad’s car was destroyed- I sat in that exact spot.
He also snuck out of the house one night to watch them film a scene for
Uncle Buck.
TD did the soundtrack for my favorite underrated movie: SORCERER.
