All baserunners score.
"Intent" is irrelevant--if balls hits head, rule applies.
Crowding the plate is one thing, but no one leads with his head.
Bobby Valentine managed in Japan and said any pitcher with poor enough control that he beans a batter is sent to the minors.
You felt the need to play a racist card. Go pound sand!
In the head, yes.
You need to watch, “Ice Guardians,” to understand how enforcement and the psychology of sport works.
No. Only actual beanballs.
How about this one at the 38 second mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBsvuoQMmuo
I remember a Babe Ruth League pitcher who had an extreme fastball, but he was also .. how shall we say .. erratic. He was about the only pitcher on whom I feared to crowd the plate. For most other pitchers' fastball, I could at least attempt to evade; for him, usually, I could see that ball leave his hand on the pitcher's mound, and then the next thing I knew, it was hitting the catcher's mitt.
I would sometimes make an educated guess and swing where I thought the ball might be, based upon how it was leaving his hand. As it turned out, I had a .500 hitting average against his fastballs. Where he usually did me in was changing up and throwing a curve. I saw it leave his hand and, guessing it was a fastball, I would swing at where I thought it would be. Unfortunately, if it was a curve, I had swung at the pitch, left the batter's box, and was seated in the dugout by the time it got to the catcher.
Penalty for batter showing up up pitcher:
automatic ejection, suspension for 40 games. I mean, if we are going to make the rules change, may as well make it even Steven.
It was more of a desire. A delight in doing so, actually. What compelled you to pearl clutch in so Karenhood a manner?
>> In the head, yes. <<
Do you want more Joe Bidens? Because giving away free home runs for taking a fast ball to the skull is a great way to get more Joe Bidens. :-)
Don Drysdale once threw at a guy warming up on the batting circle who was trying to time his pitches. Now, you see guys timing pitches in warm up all the time.
Gibson felt the plate was his. Koufax was just as vicious. They were fierce competitors. Now they’re a bunch of candy ass prima donnas.
I was about ten rows back in a Royals / Reds spring training game some years back when a line drive hit Chapman in the head and put him out cold at the foot of the mound. We thought he might be dead. Its strange how he has moved around.
Not a head shot, but the batter took a few punches to the head after he charged the mound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3niGu9d_pY
Hockey players: ROFL!
“I’ve been beaned many times and have suffered no ill effects.”
Neither have I.
Me neither.
No
No
No Karen mannerism here. So, for what reason did you feel the need to inject race into a sport played around the world?
“Juuuust a bit outside.”
