Why aren’t these congress critters actively pursuing impeachment proceedings against Pedo Joe instead of chasing after Chinese weather balloons?

It seems you don't know how Congress works. There are 100 Senators and 435 Representatives. They break up into committees so that they can actually address multiple issues at the same time. They study the issues, and then draft new laws. Then they convene to vote on those new laws.

If all 535 members of Congress were working on each individual issue, how much would they solve. Try this for a mental exercise: Imagine 535 people working on a single page of source code. Would they ever finish?
