Yeah, and I am against gender transitioning of any child. If an adult chooses to do so, well that is on them but at least they are adults. They will have no one but themselves to blame for their poor choice. But that has nothing to do with complying to the laws of the country you are in. Trump was complying to the laws of Canada at that time.

Ukraine allows them though. So, perhaps all of those supporting Ukraine support that law, as they support Ukraine in their conflict with Russia. Is that the point you are trying to make?

I think it’s Trump that needs to make different choices.

Here is is supporting Disney:

I read the entire story.

I mussed the part where he is supporting Disney. Please post that.

What Trump is saying is that DeSantis is handling the Disney thing in the wrong way and will get his ass handed to him because of that.

And don’t accuse me of supporting Disney. I think they are worse than evil...but that really is a matter best settled by buyers, customers, the public....whatever. The beer blacklist is a good example.

Remember government should be limited. A government that ruins Disney can ruin you.

...the organization would respect the laws of Canada...

Ah, the impetus.
(the force that makes something happen or happen more quickly)

It's still Trump's fault, damn it!
He could have fought back in court.

I remember seeing it the news when it happened. It was a stupid decision. He didn’t care about what it was doing to women, particularly about the woman who lost her chance to a transvestite; he cared about promoting the pageant any way possible. Free publicity and hype is part of his way of doing business.

I have done, and am no doubt doing a hell of a lot more than you to take an active role in what I see as problems in our political system.

For certain.

And I don’t like doing it because I think politics is filthy, it takes time out of my life, and in my blue state, what I am doing is virtually guaranteed not to make a difference, but I am getting involved and doing it nonetheless. So your “crying in your beer” comment is shallow and unwarranted.

Not just that, you seem to think the 2020 election was an anomaly, it won’t be repeated, and can be overcome by “getting in touch with the electorate”.

Besides seeing that point of view as being incredibly naive, you have stated over and over you won’t vote for Trump if he is the nominee.

If you actually would do that, it is because you would rather be politically dead than to be proven wrong by Trump winning the election.

“I kind of agree with your previous post that DeSantis would stand a better chance against Biden...”

I don’t know why. His campaign so far has proven he has a tin ear and is inept.

His cute attempt on “charging an 80 year old” wrt Trump is just more of the same.

If we have to have Swamp, can’t it at least be someone competent like Youngkin ?

Pretty weak in my opinion:

Governor DeSantis signed Senate Bill (SB) 7064, Human Trafficking, which supports victims of human trafficking and strengthens penalties for human traffickers by: Establishing a civil action for victims of human trafficking against traffickers and providing that victims can recover damages and attorney’s fees from adult entertainment establishments.

Governor Ron DeSantis Signs Legislation to Combat Human Trafficking

How courageous, to sigh legislation that the legislature passed.

My point is that I haven't really heard him speak on the subject at all. Nor have I heard anyone talking about him talking about the issue.

Everything DeSantis has done, has been to further his political career. I for one am tired of people who make their career, politics.

rump is an opportunist, and he has no core values. He only loves himself, and I am tired of narcissists.

I am thick? HA!

Trump has lost millions in personal wealth. His children have also. He has spent more money on lawyers than even very wealth people can afford. He is faced with a totally corrupt government weaponized mostly to get him and even his lawyers, employees, children etc.

All he has to do to end the harassment is to walk away.

And you say he has no core values.

We have the government e have due to people like you.

I have no more to say. I do not argue with fools.

Bye.

Maybe you should do a little research, since you apparently missed all the news reports about it at the time.

No he doesn’t it’s part of his campaign platform and he reveresed the Obama rule in 2017
Feb 22, 2017 — WASHINGTON — The Trump administration on Wednesday ended federal protection for transgender students that required schools to allow them to https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-administration-lifts-transgender-bathroom-guidance

Former President Donald Trump vowed in a video released Tuesday that, if he is re-elected, he will punish doctors who provide gender-affirming care to minors and push schools to “promote positive education about the nuclear family” and “the roles of mothers and fathers” as part of a wide-ranging set of policies to use federal power to target transgender people.

In a straight-to-camera video posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump said he would task several federal agencies to police and ultimately “stop” gender-affirming care for minors, which he equated to “child abuse” and “child sexual mutilation.”

He said he would also prohibit any federal agency from working to “promote the concept of sex and gender transition at any age,” not just for minors.

Former President Donald Trump has signed a pledge declaring there are only two sexes in a move to protect women in sports and prisons should he win the 2024 presidential election.

He signed the pledge June 29 after it was presented to him from Concerned Women for America, the nation’s largest public-policy women’s group.

The organization sent the pledge to all Republican presidential candidates, and Mr. Trump was the first to sign it. CWA also sent it to Democratic candidates.

I don’t think that person who says Trump has no core values has ever watched the interviews he did in 1987 with Larry King.

Anyone who is surprised that Trump is, on various issues, less socially conservative than he is business conservative is out of touch or unaware of reality.

But for core values, that interview with Larry King was the same Trump I saw in the Rose Garden giving that speech when he withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord.

And the Trump who moved the US Embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was the same Trump who professed respect for Israel all these years.

Some people are so ideologically filled with hate and blinded that they cannot see the truth, and not all of them are Democrats, either.

I hadn’t seen that before. What a disappointment. Forcing businesses to adapt restrooms for the disabled was also expensive, but businesses did what they had to do to accommodate those who needed the safety bars and larger stalls. Why bring up cost when it comes to protecting women and young girls?

Trump should be spending his time in those states
to learn how he can win them next time.

Trump is spending his time allowing people in those States
to see for themselves why he needs to win again next time.

who gives a krap whether such nonsense is true or not ... desantis is apparently unable to articulate specific, authentic, and believable solutions to the major issues destroying this country ... issues such as wholesale censorship, crippling inflation, unlimited illegal aliens pouring through open borders, and soviet-style illegal weaponization of the state apparatus to eliminate and destroy legitimate political opposition ...

consequently, desantis apparently is turning to the same nearly irrelevant distractions being foisted by the fascist Democrat government and fascist corporate media ... we really don’t need another Democrat-lite candidate in the GOP ...
