Officials at the Hoover Police Department announced that Carlee Russell had been charged with two misdemeanors after faking her abduction earlier this month.
Nick Derzis, chief of police for the Hoover Police Department in Alabama, confirmed that Russell turned herself in and was released from jail after posting bond.

Her story would have been better if a Subway sandwich was involved.
