Data from the United Nations' World Meteorological Organization released on Thursday indicates that July 2023 will go down as the hottest month ever recorded in human history.

The U.N. said July has already had the hottest three-week period ever recorded, the three hottest days on record, and the highest-ever sea-surface temperatures for this time of year.

U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said the data makes it clear that human-driven climate change is to blame for the spike.

Don't remember the summer of '76, but in southern Indiana next to the Ohio River, the summer of '81 was 105 degrees. And the Ohio River made it very humid.

I was working construction for my father's company, hand laying rip rap along the river hills shoreline. We hadda work in 5 to 15 minute shifts.

I remember a recent thread about the governor of WA saying the earth was screaming with this current heat wave. I checked the temp in Spokane. 68 degrees. Tacoma: 70 degrees. That was ~3:15 pm. Bless his heart. They have it rough.

How many years have we had accurate thermometers to measure temperatures?

Was that McG?

I was disappointed after he did such a great job with the first Charlie’s Angels

Probably the screenplay writers fault

Over time records will topple. One month of summer doesn’t prove anything. Certainly doesn’t prove we should regress to living like a bunch of Luddites.

I rented one of those Jeep vehicles

The shifter was quite awkward

Had quite a time with it while driving on a trip to Branson

What is the most potent “greenhouse gas”?

Water vapor.

Jan 15, 2022

“When the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted on Jan. 15, it sent a tsunami racing around the world and set off a sonic boom that circled the globe twice. The underwater eruption in the South Pacific Ocean also blasted an enormous plume of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere – enough to fill more than 58,000 Olympic-size swimming pools. The sheer amount of water vapor could be enough to temporarily affect Earth’s global average temperature.”

Too bad they underestimated....

“Scientists now think it was closer to 150,000 metric tons, or 40 trillion gallons, of super-heated water instantly injected into the atmosphere.”

From a 2023 study on the volcano......

“The unique nature and magnitude of the global stratospheric perturbation by the Hung eruption ranks it among the most remarkable climatic events in the modern observation era.”

And just look at all the AGW propaganda just from today......

So when do the elite start buying wheatfields in Alberta and Siberia and stop buying beachfront property in southern climates?

Odd how this is the first summer in years that we’ve been able to sit out on the porch until noon. Other summers, the heat furnace hits you square in the face just opening the door in the mornings. But the weather folk have somehow forgotten last year, the year before, the year before that.

I’ve posted this before (so it isn’t new) and others have confirmed that 1980 was HOT. That was the summer I sat in front of the fridge with only a wet towel on when coming home from work. But the weather folk have somehow forgot that year’s records.

2011, was another summer the weather folk have somehow forgotten. That was the year they touted “100 days of 100+ temperatures”. That was also the summer the rivers and lakes were bone dry and towns had to haul drinking water in by rail and call in water witchers. This year, the lakes and rivers are full and flowing nicely full of tourists and their boats.

Normal summer temps don’t make headlines and doesn’t follow the climate disaster agenda.

We’ve not seen any headlines from France of grandmothers dropping like flies for lack of a $15 fan this year.
