It is international PR for the Ukrainian cause. That is very valuable to Ukraine. And it does have an effect on the war.

Davydov and his counterparts are doing good work.

Meloni is a true right wing politician.
That’s why she is such a supporter of Nations sovereignty.
In the world, it’s mostly only communist politicians supporting Russia today.

27 Jul: SMART! Ukrainians Fool Russians & BREAK THROUGH THE CENTER| War in Ukraine Explained

Reporting from Ukraine
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eglIsf6qGQ

⚠️ Watch RFU in 18+ languages: https://www.youtube.com/@RFU/channels

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundred nineteenth day of the war.

Day 519: Jul 27

Today there is a lot of good news from the Velyka Novosilka direction.

Here, Ukrainian forces successfully fooled Russian commanders by imitating an attack in one direction and eventually breaching the Russian defense where they expected it the least.

Last time I told you that the main focus of Ukrainian forces became Pryiutne, and Ukrainians fixed Russian troops in the north and conducted a successful flank attack, penetrating Russian defenses by multiple km. From here, it looked like the Ukrainians needed just one more push because they were already on the outskirts of the settlement. Such a development would mirror what happened with Novodarivka and Rivnopil, where Ukrainians penetrated the flanks and collapsed the whole defense line. Russians understood that their defense was on the brink of collapse and reinforced this region with hundreds of troops, and even launched a counterattack.

This reaction undermined Ukrainian plans, however, Ukrainians found a new opportunity in the changing setting. As Russians drained their reserves to plug the hole in their defense, it meant that other directions would necessarily suffer. The first thing Ukrainians did was to imitate the preparation for a massive attack on Pryiutne to give Russians a false sense that they are doing the right thing. Russian sources reported that Ukrainians relocated several detachments from the 36th Marine Brigade to the western part of the region. Russian sources also reported that Ukrainians deployed multiple detachments from the 31st and 35th Brigades to the long gully. Russian analysts started raising the alarm that Ukrainians had formed at least 3 powerful assault units around Pryiutne. In anticipation of a massive attack, Russian forces reinforced Stepove, Remivka, and Pryiutne even more. Soon, Ukrainians started launching reconnaissance-in-force attacks, which fixed Russian troops in this area.

Suddenly, Ukrainians opened another axis of advance from the opposite end – Urozhaine. Russian sources reported that Ukrainians shelled the region heavily and then immediately conducted a series of attacks. Ukrainians reportedly used up to 30 troops reinforced with at least one armored fighting vehicle in each attack. Russian analysts concluded that Ukrainians wanted to capture this village to start forcing Russians out of Staromaiorske and other settlements on the line by firing from the other bank of the river.

After Russian forces drained their reserves even more by reinforcing this region as well, the intensity of Ukrainian attacks on Urozhaine started to decrease, and according to Russian soldiers, Ukrainians used no more than 10 troops in each attack. It turned out that Ukrainians were just fixing Russian troops because, simultaneously, Ukrainians increased the pressure in the center tremendously.

Geolocated footage indicates that Ukrainians started hunting down Russian heavy equipment in and around Staromairske. Most of the Russian tanks and armored fighting vehicles were located in tree lines west of the settlement. This area is also located on the hill from which Russian forces protected the village. In total, Ukrainians destroyed dozens of pieces of equipment. Such actions reduced Russian combat capability significantly. Ukrainians also targeted the areas of forces concentration in the village itself. Some Russian units were seen leaving their positions, which was a clear signal that Ukrainians could launch their main attack.

The main attack happened west of Staromairoske. If we look at the topographic map, we can see that Ukrainians were moving along the tactical heights. Several hours ago, Ukrainian fighters confirmed that these attacks were successful, Ukrainians pushed Russian forces from the hills, entered the settlement itself, and established complete control over it. Combat footage reveals that Ukrainians stormed Russian positions with tanks. Overall, by methodically drawing Russian forces away from the main direction, Ukrainians managed to generate a rapid breakthrough right in the center. This is a complete disaster for Russians because now they are in a very vulnerable position in Urozhaine, which is virtually surrounded, and their defense in the fields is also fragile, as Ukrainians can just move along tree lines instead of attacking them in front. Very soon, we will see the collapse of the Russian defense in this region as well.

US Experts Slowly Admitting Ukraine Can’t Win, Hope for Stalemate

Ukraine has been throwing wave after wave of men and equipment at Russia's defensive lines, but has yet to make any significant gains. This has seemingly caused a shift in the Western narrative regarding the conflict.

US media has begun to shift gears and acknowledge the Ukraine conflict is more likely to not be the win Western leadership once touted, with one outlet quoting experts openly admitting Ukraine cannot defeat Russia on the battlefield, and that Russia never planned to conquer Ukraine or move West after the special military operation.

Steven Myers, an Air Force veteran and former adviser to the State Department told mainstream media that Russia’s tactics have been “completely inconsistent with conquest,” countering Western media and governments’ narrative that alleged Russia would attack other European nations after the special operation. Myers added that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s only goal was to keep Ukraine out of NATO.

“Strategically, this war was lost by both sides before it started. It will end in stalemate, which I now think was Putin’s intent from the get-go,”

Myers said. Meyers also pointed to unrealistic expectations set by NATO, the US and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about what their tactics could achieve. Zelensky has consistently promised to return Ukraine to its pre-2014 borders, despite the situation on the ground making that a near impossibility.

“President Biden, NATO and Zelensky have trapped themselves in a Catch 22 of their own making – unable to deliver on unrealistic expectations they created,” Meyers said.

However, the outlet also talked to Sean McFate, a professor of strategy at the National Defense University and Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a senior fellow of the notoriously pro-war Atlantic Council think tank.

But even McFate predicted Ukraine would be unable to expel Russia from its former territories, admitting Ukraine’s counteroffensive “has been floundering” and that “NATO is experiencing donor fatigue and disappointment with Zelensky’s bluster.” A feat that is causing the former comedian-turned-president to lose his credibility with his NATO allies, which he called “Ukraine’s main asset.”

That bluster, McFate said, has put Zelensky “in a box. He can’t win but he can’t afford to lose either.” He added that providing more weapons to Ukraine and expecting them to win is “the definition of insanity.”

The narrative in the West has so far been that Ukraine is winning the conflict, that Russia’s Army is on the verge of collapse and that a Ukrainian breakthrough is just around the corner. But after months of the same claims, the narrative appears to be shifting significantly, especially after it became apparent that Ukraine’s much-hyped counteroffensive would not provide the gains that its Western benefactors have awaited.

--- "Davydov and his counterparts are doing good work."

And as you earlier wrote, "Davydov makes money because people like him and give him money. He's a good talker. I was not, very. I made my career in other ways. More work and worry and way more cortisol, in a line of work that required perfection in every change. I too would have liked HIS gig. But I did what I could with my talents and he with his."

Davydov has been operating his YouTube channel since Apr 20, 2014, as documented, and has since long before the war now amassed a million bucks USD.

That you are a fan of "a good talker" and "his gig" is obvious.

WOW! Your comment is following Kremlin propaganda?

NOTE: Kremlin steps up efforts to portray Ukraine’s counteroffensive as failed operation
Friday, 28 July 2023, 06:03

The Kremlin and Russian propaganda media have stepped up efforts to portray the Ukrainian counteroffensive as a failed operation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on 27 July that recently, Russian troops destroyed 39 armoured combat vehicles out of 50 that Ukrainian troops used for intensive assaults on the Zaporizhzhia front. Putin added that Russian forces also killed 60 percent of Ukrainian soldiers who carried out these assaults, and 40% of the Ukrainian fighter pilots operating in that area.

Putin has previously said Russian forces destroyed an immense amount of equipment during Ukraine’s counteroffensive actions, although the figures of Ukraine’s attacks that he voiced out in recent days shows he is EXAGGERATING the likely Ukrainian losses.

Russian milbloggers also claim that Russian troops destroyed dozens of Ukrainian armoured combat vehicles and celebrate the alleged losses as evidence of stalling Ukrainian counteroffensive.

“The Kremlin’s and the Russian information space’s framing of the Ukrainian counteroffensive notably violates a reported Kremlin manual instructing Russian media not to downplay the potential for successful Ukrainian counteroffensive operations.

The intensifying portrayal of the Ukrainian counteroffensive as a failed effort suggests that the Kremlin’s policy on the coverage of the war is to bolster efforts to promote itself as an effective manager of the war effort.”

“But assigning collective guilt would be a gross injustice to Ukrainians. Collaboration with the Nazis was rife throughout Europe. Anti-Semitic attitudes were indeed common among Ukrainians, but many weren’t anti-Semites, and the number who didn’t assist the Nazis was much, much greater.
Moreover, a significant number risked their lives to shield Jews. Ukrainians are the fourth largest group listed among Yad Vashem’s “Righteous Among the Nations.”
Millions of Ukrainians in the Red Army also fought the Nazis, and many of them helped liberate the concentration and death camps.”

You are totally correct.

INTERESTING UKRAINE HISTORY
“The surprise German invasion of the U.S.S.R. began on June 22, 1941. The Soviets, during their hasty retreat, shot their political prisoners and, whenever possible, evacuated personnel, dismantled and removed industrial plants, and conducted a scorched-earth policy—blowing up buildings and installations, destroying crops and food reserves, and flooding mines. Almost four million people were evacuated east of the Urals for the duration of the war. The Germans moved swiftly, however, and by the end of November VIRTUALLY ALL OF UKRAINE WAS UNDER NAZI CONTROL.
https://www.britannica.com/place/Ukraine/The-Nazi-occupation-of-Soviet-Ukraine
Initially, the Germans were greeted as liberators by SOME of the Ukrainian populace. In Galicia especially, there had long been a widespread belief that Germany, as the avowed enemy of Poland and the U.S.S.R., was the Ukrainians’ natural ally for the attainment of their independence.
The illusion was quickly shattered.

In the occupied territories, the Nazis sought to implement their “racial” policies. In the fall of 1941 began the mass killings of Jews that continued through 1944. An estimated 1.5 million Ukrainian Jews perished, and over 800,000 were displaced to the east; at Baby Yar (Ukrainian: Babyn Yar) in Kyiv, nearly 34,000 were killed in just the first two days of massacre in the city. [See also Holocaust: The Einsatzgruppen.]

In the Reichskommissariat, ruthlessly administered by Erich Koch, Ukrainians were slated for servitude. The collective farms, whose dissolution was the fervent hope of the peasantry, were left intact, industry was allowed to deteriorate, and the cities were deprived of foodstuffs as all available resources were directed to support the German war effort. Some 2.2 million people were taken from Ukraine to Germany as slave labourers (Ostarbeiter, or “eastern workers”). Cultural activities were repressed, and education was limited to the elementary level.

Under such conditions of brutality, Ukrainian political activity, predicated originally on cooperation with the Germans, increasingly turned to underground organizational work and resistance. The OUN groups that streamed eastward in 1941 were soon subjected by the German authorities to repressive measures, including execution, so they propagated their nationalist views clandestinely and, through their contact with the local population, began to revise their ideology in a more democratic, pluralist direction.”

MORE HISTORY
Ukraine rates the 4th in the number of people recognized as “Righteous Among the Nations” for saving Jews during the Holocaust.

The history of the Jews in Ukraine goes back over a thousand years. Jewish communities have existed in the territory of Ukraine from the time of the Kievan Rus’ (late 9th to mid-13th century). Some of the most important Jewish religious and cultural movements, from Hasidism to Zionism, rose either fully or to an extensive degree in the territory of modern Ukraine.

According to the World Jewish Congress, the Jewish community in Ukraine constitutes the third-largest in Europe and the fifth-largest in the world. In the Ukrainian People’s Republic (1917-1920), Yiddish was declared a state language, along with Ukrainian and Russian. At that time, the Jewish National Union was created and the community was granted an autonomous status. Yiddish was used on Ukrainian currency in this same period, between 1917 and 1920. Before World War II, slightly less than one-third of Ukraine’s urban population consisted of Jews; they were the largest national minority in Ukraine.

Total civilian losses during World War II and the German occupation of Ukraine are estimated at SEVEN million.

More than ONE million Jews were shot and killed by the Einsatzgruppen [paramilitary death squads of Nazi Germany that were responsible for mass-murder, primarily by shooting, during World War II (1939–1945) in German-occupied Europe.]

As ordered by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, the Wehrmacht cooperated with the Einsatzgruppen, providing logistical support for their operations, and participated in the mass murders. Historian Raul Hilberg estimates that between 1941 and 1945 the Einsatzgruppen, related agencies, and foreign auxiliary personnel murdered more than two million people, including 1.3 million of the 5.5 to 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust.
After the close of World War II, 24 senior leaders of the Einsatzgruppen were prosecuted in the Einsatzgruppen trial in 1947–48, charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes.

I dont get your point. Or perhaps I dont understand what your feelings are.

You object to good talkers? Its a real skill.
And it can lead to a good career - often a very elevated career. Disraeli, Churchill and Trump have a lot in common.

And you object to making money? Well that part is truly weird.

“We do not believe that Russia will hesitate to return”: Zelenskyy delivers address on Statehood Day
Ukrainska Pravda
Tetiana Lozovenko
Friday, 28 July 2023, 11:20
https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/07/28/7413210/

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, has delivered an address on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood near St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv and awarded Ukrainian defenders.

SOURCE: broadcast of the event on the air of the national 24/7 newscast

QUOTE: “Today, we celebrate the Statehood Day – for the second time in conditions of a full-scale war. We all aspire that next year we celebrate this day the same way, in the free capital, but already with victory.

... The more than thousand-year history of our statehood suggests it is necessary to win. Not to stop, but to win, not to bargain, but to win, not to rely on the vagaries of fate, but to win and build such a strong state that its potential and ability to defend itself, the faith of our people in themselves, weapons in the hands of Ukrainians and the unity of all together in the state guarantee the preservation of Ukraine’s statehood and the non-repetition of aggression against our state.

We do not believe that Russia will hesitate to return with aggression even after we expel the invaders from all of our land. But the victory of Ukraine can and should be such that any attempts of the enemy to return do not go beyond the sick fantasy of those madmen who harbour such plans. Our statehood is our answer to the need for security and peace for Ukraine. Statehood, which is difficult to defend but even more difficult to return if lost. It is never just a given. It is the result of service and work for Ukraine.

Statehood, which someone can perceive only as earning or chasing power, their ambitions, and others [take it as something] strong and pure -– statehood becomes the highest sacrifice; [it is embodied in] the life that our heroes give for the sake of all of us, for the sake of Ukraine’s freedom.”

DETAILS: The event was also attended by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Ruslan Stefanchuk, Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s Parliament) Speaker; Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine; Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence; Ihor Klymenko, Interior Minister; Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine; Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council; and Andrii Yermak, Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office.

Zelenskyy also awarded Ukrainian defenders during the event.

Dang. Asking about my fe-e-e-e-lings. What are you? A Democrat?

You are a clever "_fill in the blank_," but the now-aging BBC tactic of "what you're saying is" now dodders. Am I objecting to making money? Of course not.

I merely point out to you, recipient of the Big Thumb Award by the YouTube channel promoting original poster "click bait" Meisterin here, that....

Davydov has been operating his YouTube channel since Apr 20, 2014, as documented, and has since long before the war now amassed a million bucks USD.

I am wondering about YOUR feelings, note.

Because I dont understand you. You seem to be raising objections to Davydov et al that are, to me, illogical, or are against common sense. Why do you object to Davydov having a successful Youtube channel?

“Money makes the world go round, the crooked and the honest alike.”

This is true. Unless you want to go utterly Bolshie (of the sincere sort).

So are they rooted in some emotional response? This can come from some cultural or childhood programming we dont have in common.

Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief inherits US$1 million and donates it to Ukrainian army
Ukrainska Pravda
Yevhen Kizilov

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, inherited US$1 million from a Ukrainian American in the United States. In turn, he donated all the money to the Ukrainian army.

DETAILS: The publication reports that Zaluzhnyi received an inheritance from an American of Ukrainian origin, Hryhorii Stepanets. This was reported by the Stepanets family.

In January, the general donated the entire amount to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military’s press service confirmed the donation.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) confirmed this information, in response to Ukrainska Pravda’s request.

Indeed, Stepanets left Zaluzhnyi an inheritance of US$1 million.

QUOTE from AFU: “General Zaluzhnyi transferred the full amount to the special account at the National Bank of Ukraine dedicated to the Ukrainian Army. SWIFT transaction details from the bank on 5 January 2023 confirmed this.

QUOTE from Zaluzhnyi: “I gave my whole life to the Armed Forces. And I did not have a single doubt about what to do with the inheritance. Mr. Hryhorii’s last will was obviously to support the Ukrainian army through me. I am grateful to everyone who helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And I am grateful to my family for their understanding.”

BIOGRAPHY OF STEPANETS FOR REFERENCE:

Stepanets was born in 1938 in the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia. His father fought in World War II and was killed by the Germans in October 1941. Hryhorii and his mother were evacuated to the Urals, where they suffered from hunger and other hardships. Following the end of the war, they returned to Vinnytsia.

There was also very little food in the city at that time. They survived only thanks to their uncle who had fought in the war (he had been wounded and had lost a leg), who shared his military rations with them.

Stepanets graduated from a middle school and joined the Moscow State University named after Mikhail Lomonosov in 1956; he graduated with a masters degree in Mathematics and Chemistry, as well as a PhD in Physical Chemistry. He was fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, German, Italian and English.

While working at the Geophysical Research and Development Institute in Moscow, he signed a letter in support of anti-Soviet dissidents; soon after that, the Soviet government dismissed him on trumped-up charges. Later, the KGB prosecuted him, and he could no longer get a job. He filed an application for a visa, but they rejected it.

The situation changed when Gorbachev came to power, and Stepanets was granted the right to leave the Soviet Union. In 1989, he arrived in the USA and started working for Microsoft in Redmond, Washington, working as a software developer. Together with another software developer, he invented a patent for decoding the variable-length data codes; the patent was handed over to Microsoft.

I did note that. I didn't respond with fe-e-e-e-lings. Problem? Nor do I inquire about your feelings.

--- "Why do you object to Davydov having a successful Youtube channel?"

Nice try. I pointed out that the original poster daily and over months points to the click bait of one consistent monetized channel.

And as you mention this one "mom" approved channel yet again, you provide the opportunity....

Davydov has been operating his YouTube channel since Apr 20, 2014, as documented, and has since long before the war now amassed a million bucks USD.

What an interesting remark. You miss or avoid the obvious. An ideological programming. We might not have that wholly in common.

What we surely do not share is in the fine Big Thumb Award. Congratulations, again.
