Why does the article imply he was “being pulled over” for a missing mudflap. He ran the inspection point and then was chased for 25 minutes only stopping after the police deployed a spike strip and incapacitated. Sorry but these are important parts of the story. Also I’m not discounting the fact that the police officer should be fired and potentially charged.

According to the 911 call the driver placed asking for help the fact of his missing mud flap had 20 to 30 cops aiming weapons at him. He was in legitimate fear for his life as is illustrated by some out of control donut muncher sending a dog after an unarmed and surrendering man DESPITE other cops saying not to do this.

Had the state troopers not been there the truck driver may well have been killed. By cops.

They’re not relevant as to whether the officer was justified in loosing a dog on the man.
