Good for you not using injections. If you use logical remedies when they get a problem should be better and cheaper
I would bet parasites would be the actual immunity lose they get. The other diseases is likely a side effect of a poor immunity. I wonder how easy it is to grow Nigella sativa?
Cheapest anti-parasitical other then turpentine I know about.

Questions for you LilFarmer:
I can't stand the flavor of goat milk. Someone told me if you keep the male goats away from the females their milk taste better. They're more relaxed not being around a male goat or hormonal change
1. is that true? sounds like a myth at first glance.

Anyway, I absolutely hate the taste of goat’s milk from the grocery store. It tastes goaty to me. My goat’s milk tastes almost like a thicker sweeter version of cow’s milk. My does are not housed with bucks, but just a fence between them so there is definitely hormones going on, lol. The only thing I can sometimes taste is if they get into wild onions. Here, the taste will start becoming goaty within a week stored in my fridge. I’m sure grocery store milk is a lot older than that.

25 years of raising dairy goats and using the milk in a variety of ways.
Yes having a buck in with the does will taint the milk.
Feeding too much commercial feed and not enough good second cutting alfalfa hay will change the taste.
They need lots of fresh clean water to drink.
And good milking practices, especially cooling the milk down asap.
