I do not know if the dam will collapse. We are undergoing a a redux of previous "Will the dam Collapse" stories. Note that a lot of water was recently introduced to the atmosphere by a volcanic explosion. We also know that the Chinese have been trying to capture water with weather modification. Perhaps what is happening will persuade them that this is not a good idea!
dish sat TV used to have a chicom news channel CCTV9 that used to cover that dam regularly. The channel disappeared from dish a few years ago but has to be around someplace? Interwebs,twits,googlies-—I dunno but it must be out there someplace? They always had a lot of coverage of landslides, floods, train wrecks, etc.
