Ok this doesn’t make sense to me as Beijing isn’t near the 3 Gorges or it’s rivers (much farther south)....I’ll do some checking it could be the rain is more widespread then just the North/central area.
Ok I see now the tropical storm swept up from the Phillipines and hit Fujian in the south first before moving on to Beijing. Looks like another one is coming just behind this one in the next few days.
It’s getting so that I almost feel sorry for that dam. I mean, for a few years, we’ve watched, predicted, hoped for - its failure.
If only it were not in China.
But a breach would be colossal!
