Same here, though I read in bed on an illuminated Kindle so I don't have to turn on a lamp. Even those little lamps for night reading scatter enough light to keep my wife awake.
I gave up reading in bed, so that isn’t a concern of mine. And yes, even the booklite” throws off a lot of light and will disturb one’s spouse.
