Washington state's leader said voters must reject "climate deniers" like Trump
The record-high temperatures recorded around the world show "the climate change bomb has gone off" and Americans must push "further and faster" for solutions -- including voting against "climate deniers" like former President Donald Trump -- Washington Gov. Jay Inslee said Sunday.
"What the scientific community is telling us now is that the Earth is screaming at us," Inslee said.
In an interview with ABC "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz, Inslee, one of the Democratic Party's loudest voices on addressing climate, spoke gravely about the threat of a changing world: "The fuse has been burning for decades, and now the climate change bomb has gone off. The scientists are telling us that this is the new age. This is the age of consequences."
Earth's 20 hottest days ever recorded have all occurred this July, amid scorching heat impacting hundreds of millions of people around the world. In the United States, cities in the South and Southwest have experienced record streaks of high temperatures, including Phoenix, which has had 23 consecutive days when the temperature reached at least 110 degrees.

He’s obviously psychotic
They’ll probably keep electing him to an unlimited number of terms
I lived in WA state for 21 years. I moved to Hawaii.
No improvement there as far as voting.
I’m once again a WA state voter. Useless.
Jay Inslee was and always will be an idiot.
They should change the name of the state of Washington to the state of Seattle.
That is who runs the state.
Just like every state run by large cities.
Until the 17th amendment our founders put in a mechanism to counter the power of large cities. No states have such a mechanism in fact Bicameral legislatures are a joke everywhere.
All State Senates are essentially useless.
One of my favorite Globull Hoax quotes is from Stephen Schneider
"we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest."
My governor, too. (((
It never fails to amaze me that the headline quote about “record high temperatures” in the Northwest uses Phoenix, Arizona to substantiate the claim. The forecast in east central Washington for the next ten days looks like highs in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s and lows in the 60’s. This is much cooler than this time last year when we were suffering under 110+ degree heat for about a week.
It’s amazing how much you can cook the books (you see what I did there?) when, instead of taking measurements above the planet’s surface, you take them off the ground.
I’m sure these paragons of virtue would never take the majority of readings off of pavement.

Summertime
Fun
Again
Everybody knows if it’s too hot where you live it’s because the sun is hot. They need to move to the darker cooler side that the sun shines less on. ..... unfortunately there are morons that believe this.
Or would they take readings from censors placed under air conditioning exhaust vents? (I recall there was a story about this some time back.)
And Shirley they wouldn't change numbers, use fake numbers and lie to the entire world, about anything?
Shirley knot.
Oh wait....?? wasn't there some global event a few years ago, where they changed numbers, changed facts, lied to the whole world, and locked it down?

I heard it too. It said, “All liberals and leftists get off before I puke!”.
More likely laughing.
It’s just the voices in your head, Inslee.
Mean while they are extending the Ski season out west. How inconvenient!!
What the fool neglected to say was that the Earth was screaming at Gov. Inslee and his Climate Change Conspiracy Theory Hoaxers to stop the nonsense.
No it isn't. Those are the voices in your head! Now go with the nice young men in the clean white coats, see ya later.
Record this and record that. That’s another word the libs have stolen and done a 180 on the definition. You try to tell people to do their own research from the past or merely check the weather channel for current temperatures... sigh, but the sheeple they are, they’d rather listen to the lies.
In 1980, it was 115 in TX where I’d come in after work and sit in front of the fridge with nothing but a wet towel. Yes, I’ve posted that before on FR. Funny how the weather folk’s record books don’t go back that far.
They must also have misplaced 2011 records when we had their constantly touted “100 days of 100+ temperatures”. That summer, rivers were bone dry and towns were out of water. They were having to bring water in by rail and some resorted to water witching. Yep, I posted that on FR back then.
I haven’t had to get a wet towel this year and the river is running full. The heat isn’t hitting us in the face when we open an outside door so I’ve been enjoying nice mornings on the porch.
Ya know, we haven’t seen headlines from France of people dropping like flies from not having fans this summer.
Appreciated
>> The problem is that there’s no one in the local media anymore who is willing to call out Inslee or any other Dem/Socialist/Commie politicians in this state
The Rats of done a good job of stigmatizing conservatism, decency.
Inslee issues emergency proclamation for extreme winter weather and flooding
“For perspective:

The average of the record high temperature years is about 1955 - so more than half a century ago. I’m not claiming that this is scientific proof of anything, but it doesn’t support the global warming claims.
(I do think the planet is warming - after all, we are coming out of an ice age - but I’m skeptical of the extreme claims attributing this to the burning of fossil fuels.)
