The individuals sworn to enforce the law have much greater latitude as to what they may do to use their authority, and it may mean to kill you if you resist their authority.
Nope. This is the USA not what ever God-Forsaken hell hole you live in. Here the police are public SERVENTS not masters of slaves.
"Sir, yes sir!" is the correct response.
Just when did I enlist? They are not military, I am not military. We are all citizens together. In fact COP stands for Citizen On Patrol.
Considering the prevalent increasing lack of respect for these peace officers, in this confrontation the officer acted quite well within his purview of exemplifying a warning to others, like you, of the nature of what "law-abiding" means.
Incorrect once again. Mr Policeman does not have ANY sort of authority to make me "exemplifying a warning to others". He may arrest me but that is IT. I am sorry you live in a lawless hell hole run by warlords but this is the US.
Here any punishing is done by the courts with a judge and jury, not by some roided up dude in his pretty blue magic uniform.
My FRiend, it is going to be interesting to see what happens next when you offer your opinion in these exact same words while fllpping your middle finger to the officer who is enforcing the law that you are resisting, that he is sworn to uphold with whatever force is necessary, and is calling for backup.
Good luck!
