A suspect accused of mugging a Lyft driver jumped off New York City’s FDR Drive on July 11 and was seriously injured.
Video footage shows Ismael English, 20, trying to flee the scene on the overpass as he sits teetering on the edge of the roadway, the New York Post reported Friday.
English, wearing a dark colored shirt and what appeared to be grey pants, slips over the edge and hangs on for a moment before apparently losing his grip and falling to the pavement below.

It’s amazing he didn’t fall on one of them.
Instead of acting like a responsible adult, the freak jumped off a road onto a cement sidewalk twenty five feet below. Three ladies looked at him calmly while he was in total pain and could not stand up and could not run. That injury will last a lifetime.
and the people he almost landed on just walk away without even thinking about offering help.

Laughed at the group of women who were trying to decide if they should walk away or not and just looked at him lying there.
OK, so looking at the video carefully, he lands and then a second later there is a spray of white debris that shoots out from where he landed.
It wasn’t there before he landed.
What is that?
Bone fragments?
Looks like his pants fell off, too.
Actually, looking at it AGAIN, the white patch was already there but was mostly obscured by the women.
They are really fortun ate he didn’t land on any of them.
I could watch that, over and over. Is that bad? 😂
Whatever he landed on was already on the ground.
The dumbstruck women are lucky they weren’t inches further out. He would’ve nailed them.

I just love that there is that small delay between the visual impact and the audible impact.
This video should be part of the “speed of sound” physics curriculum of all inner city schools.
Also...he didn’t jump. He was trying to find a foothold below and just managed to “find the gap”...pure comedy gold on a Buster Keaton or Laurel and Hardy level.
The article says that he broke both legs. It doesn't say he was dis-armed.
