Archbishop Viktor of Artsiz, vicar of the Odesa Diocese, has sent a letter to Patriarch Kirill (Gundyaev) of the Russian Orthodox Church and all members of the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church in connection with the strike of Russian troops on Odesa on Sunday night.

DETAILS: The Archbishop asked Kirill to draw attention to the fact that at the Council of the UOC [Ukrainian Orthodox Church] of 27.05.2022, it was decided that the church headed by the Primate of the UOC is withdrawing from his subordination.
“We demand to leave our church, our bishops and our primate alone! We have our own path, which the Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church chose. I sincerely ask you to stop. EVERY MISSILE THAT STRIKES ON THE TERRITORY OF UKRAINE TODAY IS PERCEIVED BY ITS RESIDENTS AS YOUR “BLESSING” to your children,” the letter says.
BACKGROUND:
-The Air Force of Ukraine reported that Russians fired 19 missiles of various types, including five Oniks missiles, on Odesa Oblast overnight. Air defense forces shot down nine missiles.
-The Transfiguration Cathedral was destroyed in another Russian attack on Odesa on early 23 July.
-25 architectural monuments were damaged overnight in Odesa’s centre that is under UNESCO protection
-As a result of the Russian missile attack on the city of Odesa on Sunday night, almost 50 buildings were damaged, including 25 architectural monuments, and the building of the Greek consulate was also damaged.
-As a result of the attack, one person died and 20 were injured, including four children. The building of the Greek consulate was damaged
My conclusion from your post is that Russia must be in deep trouble at this point. Since Mr. Kemp always seems to be wrong, if he’s saying that Russia’s doing well now, it must mean the opposite.
