Russia was not a danger to us. We were a danger to them. If Russia was setting up bases on the US/Mexico border, they would be considered a danger to us.

But they didn’t do that.

No we would not let them set up bases on the Mexican border. You do not allow someone to point a gun at you for any reason. Just because you are pointing one at them is irrelevant. We have guns pointed at them for good reasons.

We are on their border because they are a threat to us and everyone else. That is why they invaded Ukraine. That is why we have NATO to protect us against them since they are predatory and dangerous. We thought that since the fall of Communism they might be changed but we wanted confirmation of their actions. They have confirmed that they are not a peaceful nation. If we are a danger to Russia is because their intentions are evil and we are stymieing those plans.
