The moviegoer who was brutally beaten over a seat at a Florida theater earlier this month said he suffered a broken nose as his attacker “just went to town,” according to a report.
“I couldn’t even get a defensive shot in,” the man told NBC Miami. “It happened so fast, he basically sucker-punched me is what he did.”
The 63-year-old victim, who wished to remain anonymous, and his wife purchased VIP tickets for ‘Insidious: The Red Door’ at the AMC Pompano Theater in Florida on July 10, which included advanced seat selection.
The victim said he “politely” asked a couple who had sat in his seats to move moments before the confrontation became physical.
According to NBC Miami, the man cut his losses and started to look for a seat elsewhere while the aggressor “just kept staring.”
“As I’m walking away, he said ‘go run to your wife little boy,” the victim told the outlet. “I turned around and I said ‘you know I’m not the one who’s being a little boy, you took my seats and you didn’t apologize or you didn’t say thank you and I let you keep them.'” *** The alleged attacker, who wore a black shirt and red shorts, unleashed a barrage of punches as the man lay on the ground in front of horrified patrons, according to footage released by the Broward County Police Department. ***

Hope he gets a nice supplement to his income and recovers completely.
We lived there five years 1960-1964. It was beautiful, indeed. Had a gorgeous elementary school in Cayuga Heights, but the Junior High was downtown and I suddenly became a commuter on the school bus. The demographics of the city were a bit different from up on East Hill, even then.
“Like there’s a possibility that pigs will grow wings and fly.”
They have a very good video of the perp leaving the theater. If caught there is actually a very strong likelihood he’ll be charged with aggravated assault and do a little time, maybe a couple of years. If the victim had been 65 or older, in FL, it would be a felony and the perp could do some serious time. Judges must set specified sentences or greater.. The real question is will law enforcement bother to look for the perp.
To get beat like that you would think the old guy called the thug what he is.
Figures, another black on white HATE crime. Why am I not surprised? This is just another reason why I hate to go out anymore. It’s just not safe!
That’s why I wouldn’t approach nicely or submissively. Despite being old with some medical issues, you have to come at them verbally so fast and hard to put them on the defensive. Better be able to back it up, too.
“I already knew. It’s like ESP or something.”
Yup.
White racist arrested after plummeting black man’s fist with his face.
I knew from the start—didn’t even need to see the photo.
When is a description not really a description?
One of the main reasons I don't attend the movie theater.
Of course there are other reasons too: subject matter,
price, etc..
What the cinema industry won't admit is that their
places of business are being ruined by a certain
demographic that has made many cinemas unpleasant and
even dangerous to attend.
“Can’t go to a movie the first week it comes out! Why? ‘Cause n____s are shooting at the screen. What kind of ignorant s___ is that? ‘Hey, this is a good movie, this is so good I gotta bust a cap in here!’”
-Chris Rock
Dollars to donuts, if this picture was passed around the Pompano police department, someone there would recognize the thug.
Some people need to be shot.
Indeed it was the jungle feaver judge I had no control over it.
I am so tired of Joe Biden’s DOI aka DOJ harping about the white supremacist terroristic threat and all the while ignoring the black crime engulfing this Republic. And the irony is sooner or later that crime spree will come home to roost in the poorer black communities and they will pay the price for it.
It’s been almost 20 years since I set foot inside a movie theater and I have no intention of ever going to one again.
Your shoes stick to the floor. The place stinks. It is loaded with hoodlums who never shut-up. Movie theater? Never.
