With no irony whatsover, Kamala Harris stated yesterday in Florida what most of us have been thinking all along.
HARRIS: "Let me start by saying this: I am a product of a public school education. I was sharing with some of the teachers earlier. My first grade teacher, Mrs Francis Wilson, god rest her soul, attended my law school graduation. I am a product of teachers and an educational system that believed in providing the children with the full expanse of information that allowed them to then and encourage them to then reach their own conclusions. Any exercise critical thought. in a way that was directly intended to nurture their leadership. I am fully aware that it is because of that approach that I stand before you, as vice president of the United States."
Which is precisely what most of us have been concerned about in public education.
First, when Harris speaks of public education, she's talking mostly Canadian public schools, based on the schools she went to as a teenager, according to her Wikipedia page. But combined with her education in American public schools, which is also there, Kamala Harris isn't exactly the poster girl for their efficacy of results. Based on her continuously stupid statements, and statements suggesting a lack of basic knowledge about the world, and her inability to speak a word of Spanish from a state that has many Spanish speakers, and the Democrat party's general aversion to having her at the top of the presidential ticket, one can only conclude that they didn't teach her much of anything and she didn't learn much of anything, either. Not knowledge. Not critical thinking.
Some educational highlights:
First, she's never released her transcripts from her public school educations, which is ... interesting.

Ain’t that the truth!
They do, indeed.
Nobody wants their kid to be as stupid as Kamala.
Home schooling is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
You simply cannot make this crap up!
Does she consider that a ringing endorsement?
Oh, wait, let me laugh harder.
Considering that her parents were intellectual heavyweights - the mother obviously so, her dad was very smart at least. She has been, intellectually, an underperformer.
Knowing Indians, I wonder what her mom thought about it.
She grew up in what was at the time the wealthiest neighborhood in Canada.
Her old Montreal neighborhood is now second to a Toronto neighborhood.
She went to an English school, not French and I don’t think she speaks any French despite growing up in a French-speaking city.
NOT Babylon Bee!!!
Canadian whore.
Your honor, the Prosecution rests.
Why is the Babylon Bee getting paid for doing no work?
“I am a product of a public school education...”
It was that bad already when she went thru? They used to be pretty darn good at least when I was a tadpole in the 50’s.
“one can only conclude that they didn’t teach her much of anything”
Unteachable...vacuous mind.
And there it is!
I am the product of the teachings from a number of sources, working in tandem. My public school teachers, in several districts in the United States. My parents. My school club counselors. Camp counselors. Scoutmasters. Community theater colleagues. Music teachers. Choir directors, both religious and secular. Band directors. AV Club members. My neighbors, including parents of my neighborhood friends. Bosses at jobs during high school, and after. People at several radio stations. And more, too many to list separately.
I was never a member of a gang. Never in a crime syndicate. Never a part of a con game. Never involved in auto theft, shoplifting, forgery.
Before you ask, I grew up in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. And beyond.
Most important, I had a mother and father who loved me, who took care of me, who let me make my choices firm in the belief that I would make good choices. They were mostly right. And I learned from a few bad choices.
I would expect some left of center people would say that all that was bad, bad, bad.
Well, that’s a ringing endorsement for homeschooling.
It wasn’t the public schools, sweetheart, that led to your ‘success’. She was outstanding at heading Willie Brown’s staff. That was the secret of her success. No lie.
