NOCATEE, Fla. – Jennifer Ruotolo is busy packing up her life after bringing home a 2023 Mercedes Benz EQE350+.
Her Nocatee home was destroyed in a fire sparked by the electric car. It was a loaner from Mercedes Benz while her personal car was getting serviced.

Difficulties to first responders in fighting EV fires....

EVs aren’t supposed to work. The whole idea is to get rid of personal transportation.
They’re too busy being equitable. How many bipoc families have lost homes due to this????? Just sayin’......
It would be just like Communist China to in-bed a circuit in all EV batteries that would cause a short-circuit and a fire through a command from an orbiting satellite. To find out if such circuits exist might be impossible.
I used to have an AMG and that thing cost me an arm and a leg but this is ridiculous
My chevys run great
So she did. Hadn't read the full article all the way through.
She's right. It is just common sense.
You would think an electric vehicle would be safer for fire hazards than something that houses and literally burns gasoline.
There is nothing sacred about something merely being "gas powered" - if they can make an electric car that is as economical and convenient as a gas powered car one day, great...and of course less or at least no more likely to explode than a gas powered car.
The difference is an ice vehicle fire can more than likely be contained by fire rescue.....the EV no so much.
Definitely some people have that motivation - I’ve said before on here that if someone invented a solar powered car that allowed people to travel as freely as a gas powered car, they would be against it.
And in the meantime the homeowner is homeless.......and Nocatee is pretty upscale.
Well let's be fair. You take your car in for service and are given a loaner vehicle while the car is in the shop - you don't often think to yourself "well, maybe I shouldn't put this car in the garage because it might explode."
Global liberals (marxists) are being used as pawns.

“ maybe I shouldn’t put this car in the garage because it might explode.”
Tesla had to ask their owners do just that
Have fun suckers
“Me: what if its in a garage?”
Lasso it by the bumper and drag it outside LOL
All of them *combined*
Will the garage covr any and all deductible insurance fees?
What about jacked up rates after the claim?
Sales tactic? Show the customer how AWESOME their EVs are. Now we know what the “E” stands for in “E”V. 🔥
“Makes it sound like the car gave off a little spark....”
The source of the story is a cnn affiliate.....that might explain it.
Which is exactly why even if everyone in America turned in their cars and rode bicycles it wouldn’t make damn bit of difference.
Do we know if the car she had in for service was an electric one ?
All we know is the loaner was EV.
Why is a fire Marshall issuing politically colored statements which ought to use the word “KNOWN DANGERS” (rather than ‘potential risks’)?
