“Also, it sounds like all sides could be more understanding”
How very woke of you.
I will add though that he probably does not understand the consequences of touching someone as many do have impulse control issues. As a parent who has been doing this for 19 years I am tired, it is wearing more than you know and for a moment I may drop my guard which I think happened in this instance, and I am not saying it was right, just stating that it does happen.
“Autistic people do stuff like this. My 24 year old autistic nephew will randomly grab boobs. “
Any man who randomly grabs my teetaas, autistic or not will get their junk cut off and handed to them.
Yes I know what you are saying about not being institutionalized but if parents or guardians can’t control them, I will.
Having all people involved be more understanding is about compassion and respect. Nothing to do with woke, you are way off base on that one.
If they do not have the mental capacity to understand it is not about getting “away” with something. Open your heart and search for a little of knowledge as to what autism is about and how it affects the family and all involved. It is not easy.
I don’t know NP I’m siding with the Mother of the baby on this one. The only thing I’d “understand” is some freak just put his gross ass tongue on my baby. If I had been her I would have knocked the autism out of that boy.
“Having all people involved be more understanding is about compassion and respect.”
So you would be compassionate and respectful toward someone who just assaulted your 3 year old? Got it.
And for 2 yrs they forced toddlers to mask up because of CoVID, but now it’s suddenly okay for a stranger to swap spit with a little kid? More evidence of the farce that CoVID was.
I always wonder, why weren’t there autistic kids when I was in school many decades ago? The “spectrum” is so wide now that almost everybody could be on it.
However, I see one teen in this area who really does have that mental illness, and who continually listens to his iPhone music. I feel so sorry for his poor mother.
In the educational industry there’s money in special ed students. When you start looking for something, you tend to find more of it.
If they are mentally handicap and do not know what they are doing, no, I would not. A reasonable intelligent human would not. Do you even understand what autism is and how it affects someone?
Actually no. Special needs students cost the district more money which is why they are always cutting services and hoarding kids into one big room and segregating them, and excluding inclusion, which is against the law.
Either things aree different where you are, or they’ve changed in the last 15 years, because Mrs. Slim worked Special Ed for decades. Of course we’re in a rural area.
She is probably a head of the curve and more intelligent than most in that arena. It has been a battle with teachers and administrators looking me in the eye telling me my son costs more and it takes away from the main stream kids so they are going to take away various services like PT & OT.
No. He kissed a child. Jail.
You really are an idiot.
This district was very strict about following the IEP for the special ed students. Pretty old school teachers and principals too.
I agree. Also because he grabbed the kid by the throat. That sounds violent.
Refreshing to hear. I used to trust administrations until I saw how they treat the special needs kids, as if they are second class citizens.
