I ordered a 3 ft tower oscillating fan!

We bought one 3 summers ago. It stays in our family room where my wife and I spend most of the day. The rest of our home is covered by 2 HVACs.

The rest of our home is controlled by 2 remote thermostats. We keep the temp off until we use the areas covered by HVAC.

Our 3 ft tower oscillating fan is remote controlled, and we don’t use it until about dinner and post dinner.

Our PG&E electric bill goes up to a couple of hundred bucks per month our hot summer/fall.

Neighbors, who run their AC @ 24/7 got some $1,000+ bills for June with smaller homes. Their July bills will be bigger with the heat the past few weeks.

So far, with the condo's thermostat set at a comfortable and cool 72°, my monthly MetEd bills are only in the $90-110 range.

The oscillating tower fan is for the garage only -- I have ceiling fans in the condo -- to get some air, since I smoke in there, or on the back patio, NOT in the condo. I have a new 2-Ton Amanna AC unit in the back of the unit.

That is an excellent set-up! With the central air, I keep our home at 76 in the summer - all I really want to do is get the humidity out.

We have a fan in just about every room. It’s never uncomfortable in any room in the house.

Both of us ‘run hot’ and in the winters it’s 68 degrees max during the day and down to 58 degrees at night. If we’re going below zero I let the kitchen sink faucet drip and I open the cabinet door below it. Our house is from 1900, so she has her problems, but heating and cooling isn’t one of them. The metal roof has preformed amazingly well.
