Disagreement with a liberal is defined as a physical attack. How do you have a discussion when they view what you said as a right-cross to the jaw? You might get away with saying something to a family member, but you’d better not say the same to a stranger unless you have fast reflexes. BTW the family member is going to see you as violent and abusive.
A black technician where I worked reported me to HR as having “incorrect political thoughts.” The manager of HR said if nothing further came from the incident he could ignore it, but if he got another complaint he’d have to “take action.” This is the same guy who refused to discipline an employee who threw a weight at another employee he disagreed with, and the weight stuck in the wallboard. The guy on the almost receiving end quit. But I could be fired for an offhand comment that disagreed with an employee’s view?
They are very angry people. Rush Limbaugh emphasized that they are very unhappy.
They can’t handle a political discussion they live in a world where Republicans are nazis.
It’s really scary because they are the bigots, intolerant, violent.
I had a “friend” get violently angry and storm out of a lunch because he believed Trump said the covid virus was a “hoax” and blamed Trump for killing friends of his.
This when Pelosi was the one who countered Trump by going to crowds in China town and telling everyone to come on down there was no virus threat, and Trump had embargoed China.

Well said. A formerly close friend a few years back came to visit. We’d not seen each other for months. One of the first things he says is “You know, there’s new study out that proves liberals are more intelligent than conservatives.” (Remember that?). I’d not heard that, and simply responded that one could easily come up with a ‘study’ showing the opposite, and really, what difference did it make? He became visibly upset, and immediately went ad hominem: “You just don’t want to see the truth! You just don’t value the truth!” Good Lord.

A liberal will never let you finish your first sentence before interrupting you. Last week, amid fragrant cigar smoke, I tried to explain the reason for the Canadian forest fires, dry underbrush from dead plants, before the new, spring underbrush grows in. All it takes is a lightning strike, a lit cigarette butt,or a camp fire. I assumed, incorrectly, that we were all cigar smokers, and therefore, conservatives or libertarians. I was cut off mid sentence by a guy whose wife sells Teslas, blaming global climate change. You live and you learn, if you are lucky, even at my advanced age of 73.

The Left - including my own family members - take what their lying media says as gospel. Anytime any of it is challenged they automatically attack the source. If you show them video that directly contradicts the dogma, they start hemming and hawing and try to deflect “well well well....what about this Republican over here who did it” and “oh that’s no big deal” (when we both know they would scream absolute bloody murder if it were reversed - and sometimes did for similar situations in the past), etc.
Its just impossible to discuss anything with them. They’re too indoctrinated.
Conservatives deal in reality. We speak from a perspective of logic and reason. Leftists deal in ephemeral ideas. They base their opinion on feelings alone.

I think he was a company man who did what he thought the company wanted. I think he was correct in his assessment. If a black employee complained about a white who was not in management, the white was summarily fired. Complaints against white management were ignored. Complaints about white staff were not even investigated.
In his job, he either did the thing the company wanted, or they’d have found someone else. He actually liked me. I’d written several novels and he’d read them all. On a personal level, he was a decent guy.

Simple answer, Liberals, Leftists, Marxists, etc. have ZERO ABILITY or DESIRE to ever listen to or consider BOTH sides of an argument. In other words they are absolutely CLOSED MINDED.
Sometimes it’s fun to poke at them to see just how far they can be spun up, but usually it’s a colossal waste of time.
We all saw a good example of this, when Hillary told us that Trump supports are “racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, etc”
To the liberal, all opposition to liberal policies is because someone either hates certain people, or is simply uneducated as to the proper liberal position.
A few examples:
1. If you oppose abortion as espoused under Roe vs. Wade, then you hate women, and you want women impaled on a coat hanger.
2. If you oppose affirmative action, you are a racist.
3. If you oppose illegal immigration, you are xenophobic, and also a hypocrite, because we are a nation of immigrants, and your own ancestors immigrated here.
4. If you oppose transgender medical treatments, you oppose what are called “best practices” of the medical profession, and are transphobic.
5. If you oppose all this global warming business, you are in favor of dirty air, dirty water, don’t care if oil companies and other industry despoil the environment, and you are said to put corporate profits over the environment.
The liberals discuss the issues in such a way, that you are in the defensive position of saying you aren’t hating anyone, you aren’t racist, etc. This is how they “debate”, by simply dismissing any opposition as motivated by hatred or ignorance.

Good point about liberals once wa ting to try to help others, a d now after failing just trying to destroy others. Their party has changed for the worse. Th3y no longer efen try to feign civility like they used to.
Thry are engaged in a hostile takeover of this country. They are trying to destroy the nation.
