They are giving away free tickets to this movie, that’s why it’s doing so well.
Initially yes. Now it is has a life of its own. When this goes international, I’m certain this will surpass $250 million. It should hit $100 million in domestic sales within a week.
A free ticker would count $0.00 toward sales?
They aren’t giving them away. They are asking people to buy them and give them to people who can’t afford them. Paying it forward. While this does probably inflate tickets sold versus eyeballs on screen it still counts as a sale.
No. On their ticket sales site, you can buy a ticket for yourself or pay for it and let it be given away by them.
When I was there at a 10:30 am show, there were more people in the theater than when I went to a similar showing of “Guardians of the Galaxy 3.” No. It’s not going well because they are giving away tickets.
Reports on Twit are people are in mostly full theaters.
Oh gee, that says it all. I paid for mine.
What is it with some of you and your desire to drag down this movie?
They are giving away free tickets to this movie, that’s why it’s doing so well.
Whaaaaaambulance, for you.
Someone bought the ticket for everyone who is attending.
That’s it gross, not number of tickets.
Disagree entirely! Its doing well because of many many reasons all to do with message, great acting, great writing and the Good Lord blessing efforts. Very thankful to folks who are buying tickets and leaving them so those who otherwise couldn’t afford a movie can see this one.
But people are seeing it, even if they get free tickets from the Pay it Forward program.
