Seriously? Taylor Swift?
I guess she’s doing her part, but she’s no savior.
Bleccchhh. I don’t even know any of her music except that one vapid song all the NFL cheerleaders were dancing to a few years ago.
“The Swifties say it isn’t just a concert, it’s a life-changing experience. The ticket prices do not hold them back.”
Swifties sound kind of like a cult. I don’t know…maybe she *is* good. But somehow, I doubt it.
If I woke up and found myself at a Taylor Swift concert I’d pay double to be let back out. I’m not a preteen girl so I guess I can’t relate.
Her Dad Scott went to my HS. Played basketball. Very well to do family in our little town.
Her Grandfather was great. You look up images of “Country Clubber” somewhere, and you’d see Dean Swift complete w/ pipe in mouth.
I haven’t ever purposefully listened to her songs, but if she makes kids happy, whatever.
If she’s a leftist - again, whatever. Knowing her family, I think she’ll come around some day.
The price of attending a Taylor Swift concert is primarily proof that people are incredibly gullible and desperate for vapid entertainment.
She is a pretty good looking gal, but I wouldn’t pay the asking price for a ticket to one of her concerts for even a private performance which also included ‘a happy ending’.
I don’t get it either.
Agree. Glad I’m not a fan.
Eight years ago my son took me to the Musical Instruments Museum in Scottsdale. By coincidence, the museum had a special exhibit of Taylor Swift’s clothes and Musical instruments. It was great for me, since everyone there clustered into the exhibit hall, leaving the rest of the museum to the few of us who were fascinated by the octobass, the instruments from around the world, and the 19th century mechanical music contraptions.
On the other hand, I haven’t heard that she sings songs about the moisture level in her lady parts, so there is a positive aspect.
Hahahahahaha…that’s hilarious! I’d never heard that before. Ol’ Ray’s still cranking them out. “A hootie owl? My bad.” 😂
Having said that, it is one more example of the complete rout of conservative culture over the past couple of decades. There are no conservative superstars in the popular culture any more. The pace with which leftists have seized the institutions is incredible.
RE: There are no conservative superstars in the popular culture any more.
I am interested in reading the names of a list of conservative superstars in the past that you can think of.
That happens to be Disney’s entire business model.
And on the other hand Lizzo is lining the pockets of buffet and chicken joints everywhere.
OMG.....how low has FR sunk when we’re posting this crap.
FR has a General Section for Entertainment and Music and films.
That’s where this article is posted. If items like this one were prohibited in this forum, why was that section made available in the first place?
All were staunch Republicans who turned against the radical movements of the mid-twentieth century. Do I need to go on?
