LOL!
Many years ago, I played in a Grateful Dead cover band, and had a beautiful tie-dye bandana with all the colors of the... ummm... rainbow.
I can't wear it anymore since people now assume it's a homosexual signal. P!sses me off, that was a nice accessory.
Many years ago I worked with a guy who also had his own "Glam band" and he would put on makeup and wear fishnet stockings, as was the thing back then.
This is him:
One of the things I despise about the Left is their focused appropriation of both symbols and language in their quest for power and domination.
The rainbow was a beautiful symbol of the covenant with God where he wouldn’t destroy us with another flood, and nearly the only expression of “rainbow” now that does not cause irritation in me is to see a glorious real one spreading across the sky. Otherwise, just reading the word “rainbow” now bugs me. And seeing the rainbow flag on “churches” that have zero mention anywhere of God is even more irritating.
Diversity used to be a fine and useful word. They have, to me, made it nearly useless in any other context than the melanin content of the skin, cultures not Western, and the “gender” one desires to identify with. I cannot even use the word in its normal context anymore because to many people you have to explain the difference between the Left’s definition of “diversity” and the historical definition of the same word. Seems silly, but I have had to do it.
