I see ‘Cocoa’ mentioned a lot recently. Is that Cocoa Beach?
I had never heard of it being called only ‘Cocoa’ when I was stationed over there.

Cocoa is a city in Brevard County, Florida. The population was 19,041 at the 2020 United States Census. It is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Several stories circulate among Cocoa old timers as to how the town got its name.

The incidents occurred Tuesday morning in Cocoa, near the intersection of School Street and Bay Avenue

Sounds like such a charming crime scene.

They are two separate cities. Cocoa is on the mainland while Cocoa Beach is on the barrier island, and there is a world of economic and demographic differences between the two.
