Electricity has the highest level of control over distribution/transmission. Even though there were a small number of large oil companies (quote ‘big oil’) and even smaller number of refining facilities and distribution retail companies, there was still too much competition.

The government wants to have full control over the little man. Electricity is perfect because you don’t just have a limited supply, but you have a single source for distribution/transmission/delivery for the little man. IE: captive audience. NO competition at the consumer level.

A lot of people speak fearfully about the amount of ultimate control and power that digital currency will create, but so would people having a complete dependency of electricity not just for their leisure activities but also for necessities for survival and transportation.

Why is it that every move that is being made is squeezing free market choice out of every equation?

Ultimate power over people.

They love to talk about income disparities, but they never talk about the disparity of freedom and power between the average person and the powerful

This is a bold step backwards. Cities are now more widely recognized as toxic Democrat breeding grounds, and smaller cities and towns are seeing growth. For example, I’m told that Chattanooga is having a growth spurt because the government is Republican or conservative.

They’re coming for your cars, your future and your very existence.
Just you wait.
I have already programmed my phone answering machine with the message:”See I told you so”
Vote for Biden, AOC, and Greta and you’ll get your wish.

And gas tanks holding more than five gallons are outlawed.
That way ICE cars will have the same range as EV.

Why not threaten that they’ll have to take your car from your cold dead hands?

Then wait for Biden’s F-15s to appear above your house.

policies unprecedented in scope and consequence are planned to ban the sale of the type of vehicle that 99% of people use

Well, wouldn't this be, um, a pretty good campaign issue?

Ninety-nine percent of everyone who owns a car is a lotta voters. Wouldn't this be the issue on which 1) The Republican candidate would be prudentially obliged to campaign saying he opposes "electric slavery" and favors "car freedom"?

And 2) The Democratic candidate would have to say he is 100-percent behind the "Electric Dream"--or risk enraging the Dems' bed-wetter base and all the woke corporations in America?

And wouldn't the Republican carry about 99 percent of the states?

Huddle in your cave and eat bugs, or be brought to the death camps. Quite a future these commies have in store for us. Just what does one do for employment when oil, cars, ACs, gas furnaces, and stoves are all banned?

“”They are coming for....... (FILL IN THE BLANK)””

When President Trump let the drillers Drill Baby Drill, and we became the Saudi Arabia of oil and NG, the democRATS could not stand it. Abundant and inexpensive energy equals more freedom and more choices.

The last few electricity alerts in Kalifornia, the democRATS actually bought electricity from neighboring States. No mention of how that power was generated (coal, NG). The RATS will not build more electric power generation in Kalifornia, and they pay a pretty penny when purchasing from their neighbors. Just like the permanent drought crisis, they will limit the amount of electricity available. While some RATS use extra electricity to keep their ice cream cold, they demonize air conditioning for the masses. Barack Hussein had 3 LARGE propane tanks installed in just one of his compounds, while pushing to eliminate gas stoves.

They could regulate the fuel makers out of business. At least for regular peons. The elite and govtards would get their fuel.

Coming for my car eh? Reminds me of story my mentor told me of his early days as repo man. He was eyeing a car to be repoed when guy told him: put your hands on that car and that is where they will stay. He decided to find other work. Anyone touching my car would be wise to follow his decision.

Disc in Front on the Bel Air. Am trying to go all disc on the 3/4 ton, it is only about $1000. Have to do the front disc on the Camaro.

My total budget for 3 classic cars over the next 5 years is only $12k to get them to great shape. Try that with new cars.

Agree 100%. You also are well outside of the rust belt, so you can keep all of those vehicles going indefinitely. I love Mopars, but GM is the way to go if you want selection of pre-cat crate engines and rebuilt trannies.
