32 nations who have plunged their resources into futility for the last 3 years and could now face a China re-armed Russia moving South to the Carpathians? No, the Clowns In America have seriously screwed up this time.

“”””We have an agreement (treaty?) IN PLACE that is supposed to prevent NATO from expanding into any country ADJACENT to Russia””””

There isn’t such a thing, Russia doesn’t run Europe, European countries, or NATO.

Six NATO countries border Russia, Finland just added 830 miles of NATO/Russia border and Russia was indifferent to that happening.

Russia isn’t rearmed it is depleted of it’s vast paper assets from its Soviet days.

NATO is stronger with increased military budgets, important new members, greater unity and building new weapons factories after seeing the deficiencies they had slipped into from complacency, even energy programs have moved right.

China has seen the sobering performance of the Russians and their weapons and Japan, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines have all moved in the same way as NATO.

We and our friendships and alliances and recognition of weapons needs are looking better against China than we were 2 years ago.

Aaah Celente unleashed.

LOL, are you listening to Celente and buying gold? Good luck with that

Gerald discusses why people have been content with the Fed feeding them cheap money, "and the Fed may be less aggressive in raising interest rates this year and that's why gold prices will go up." "China and Russia have united, the BRICS have united, and there are more of them than us... the United States' way out is with war," he tells Daniela Cambone. "We are forecasting that this is going to be the year we go from dirty cash to digital trash... and this is the year [the U.S. government] is going to make a big push towards a digital currency," Celente states. When they do, "gold is going to go through the roof," he continues.

I am paraphrasing (a lot) but I believe that exists, essentially.

Feel free to post the name of this fictitious agreement. It doesn't exist

Curious. When I was at the In Residence Advance Course for Field Grade Officers (promotable) I learned a bunch of stuff about General Staff Operations that was helpful in discerning Intent of Military Operations. If I were one of America’s enemies I would be praising the ancient god of war for this answered prayer. America has lost every war since WW II, especially those fiascos in the desert which we supposedly “won.” Anyone looking to “duke it out with the Ruskies because we can” is seriously lacking in their Fund of Knowledge.

“America has lost every war since WW II”

No, we have not. We have had politicians that refused to go the final steps, but our military has defeated every single enemy.

We win on the battlefield, politically we withdraw.

There isn’t a nation on earth that wouldn’t prefer to have the war-fighting ability and reach we possess rather than their own, and when NATO is involved, that American war machine is combined with the Armies, Air forces, Navies, and geography of the other 30 (31) nations.

We have the best military in the world. That’s true at the Company level down. From the Field Grade up the leadership is feckless and incompetent. So we win every battle and lose every war.

When I was on Active Duty, my “mentor”, I suppose I should call him, was a General Officer who had just been placed in Command at Walter Reed. He begged me to stay on Active Duty, even gave me a coin (I never was a “coin collector so I have only a few, this one, a CSGM of the Army at his retirement (he’d been a good friend and a patient) and a couple other “atta boys”). I watched as TPTB trashed his career over the conditions of the Visiting BOQ that wasn’t even ON Walter Reed property.

General Weightman was a good leader and a good officer. Yet he was thrown under the bus for “the sake of the Army.” A Cav. Officer once told me, “You Doctors are the worst, you EAT your young.” They eat the old as well. Watching what happened to him unfold made me rejoice in my choice to GTFO.

--- "We have the best military in the world. That's true at the Company level down. From the Field Grade up the leadership is feckless and incompetent. So we win every battle and lose every war."

I think that an apt statement. Might I expand it a bit?

We also have fine lower-level policing, but feckless and incompetent leadership above, such that, as an example, the NYC department is losing rank-and-file police.

We also have fine lower-level intelligence, but feckless and incompetent leadership above, listening to the likes of the Institute for the Study of War, which is neo-con and aggressive.

We also have fine lower-level STEM instruction in colleges but but feckless and incompetent leadership above promoting required social science BS, totally unnecessary to STEM studies.

We also have fine lower-level municipal and public employees, but feckless and incompetent leadership above, as public employee union leaders march lockstep with the other forms of feckless and incompetent leadership.

Watching the developing collapse of San Francisco is a case in point, with feckless and incompetent leadership spurring on commercial real estate crises, the abandonment of the city center by major businesses and more. Feckless and incompetent leadership in so many places.

"So we win every battle and lose every war."

So what then did we "win," long term?

The one thing I observed over my decades as a physician I will share. Never trust a doctor that would rather spend all day in meetings than seeing patients. That’s all one needs to know.
