Besides not following Jim’s rules “zeeper”, yup this is war. Russians had an assault with some 21 vehicles and many troops same could be said of that assault. Then there are all the smoking accidents in Russia and occupied territories.
The fact that Russia has built extensive defense networks is a challenge for Ukrainians, but also says something about Russian capabilities and capacity.
Was all of this about gaining 10% of Ukraine, because other goals seem to have failed
Ukraine is not demilitarized
NATO expansion has not stopped in fact the unthinkable just a year ago has happened. Finland is in NATO and Sweden will soon follow
Lackluster defense investment performance by NATO members has reversed.
Defense industries are ramping up
Though Russia is putting up a fight in Ukraine, the rest of the federation is being stripped of its forces and those natives are getting restless and China certainly has eyes on the east(can you say historical rights as Russia used as a reason for invasion), Russian capabilities and capacities have been severely degraded by loses suffered.
Whether Ukraine can regain all their territory is certainly a question but one that is possible, do you believe Putin can succeed in his prewar goals?
Nothing the west has given won’t be replaced, can the same be said of Russia?
The days of “we have this new weapons system how many do you want “ answer “yes please” by Russia are over. Two hundred tanks a year is a far cry from Soviet 20,000, much of which was built in Ukraine and other former Warsaw block now NATO. Countries

I think your assessment is mostly off. Russian objectives are too murky to identify success or failure, and your take on their capabilities is not based on anything you can bring as a reference.
Regarding who win or lose in the long run we are yet to see, but I certainly don’t see the West winning.
The facts are these, the Clowns In America has screwed up again, foolishly trying to buy a coup in Russia and it blew up on them and now Russia has Combat Maneuver Brigades heading for Brest and Lviv and since Americans don’t know geography just go back to watching the View.
I’m sure impimp and Kozak will be along shortly to tell me how mistaken my perceptions are..if they still work here.

It’s starting to appear to me it’s turning into a draw.
Ukr offensive seems to have failed and Russia despite their 4x population seemingly can’t create their own in response. If this thing keeps going on the two sides will just bleed each other out creating a vacuum in Eastern Europe that I’m guessing Islam will fill.
Time to negotiate.

PS another little possibility is if this thing keeps going one side will resort to nuclear weapons (Ukr had hundreds in 1990 and they supposedly gave them all back to Russia….except maybe a few??? It’s possible).
