So…. I received a Notice of Seizure from Homeland Security
Secret Service by UPS for an account out of state of which I have no knowledge. It says in the letter “if you have no interest in this property, you do not need to respond”. That would be me, except my name and address is on the Notice and I’m quite bothered by that. (Had credit alerts up due to fraudulent unemployment claim in 2021).
Ideas?
This is pretty common for those who order Cuban cigars from Europe and elsewhere. I'm sure the same applies to other materials like pharmaceuticals, supplements, ivory, or anything big brother doesn't want you to have. Is it possible someone was sending you a gift? I've heard of whiskey being seized.
The only issue I have heard of is if/when you apply for global entry or TSA pre-check, you will have been flagged. The agent will know the contents of the seized package. As always, honesty is best, but I know 2 people who were approved despite the seizure letter.

If you are a Democrat, tell them to bug off. Otherwise, pack up your stuff and prepare to move.
