Something incongruous about Mexicans sightseeing in Nepal. Not enough abject poverty to look at in Mexico?
To: Red Badger
Oh my! How incredibly 😞 sad. 🙏🏻
To: Red Badger
Most crashes in Nepal are caused by a phenomenon known as "controlled flight into terrain,"

The “family” probably took a side trip while negotiating an “import-export” deal with the Triads.

A dangerous time to fly because it should be monsoon season about now. I was in the Himalayas in the post-monsoon season on a Cho Oyu climbing team. The beginning of the post-monsoon season was pretty treacherous in a truck due to torrential rain and landslides coming across roads.

High elevations and helicopters do not make the best of flying companions.

“The pilot was identified as Nepalese citizen Chet B. Gurung”
Is Chet a common Nepalese name? Or were his parents just big fans of “Weird Science”?

That phenomenon has taken quite a few entertainers over the years.....Patsy Cline and Stevie Ray Vaughn come to mind.

I remember reading about WWII a number of US fighter pilots in this area flew upside down to look close up at the terrain. When it came time to climb, they pulled up on the stick and were killed.

A dangerous time to fly because it should be monsoon season about now. May is the best time to go to Mt. Everest. There's another opening (but a smaller one) in September.
To: MinorityRepublican
I was there in September-October. Cho Oyu is just west of Everest, but without the crowds.
