How would kids in SA know to make a snow angel? It must be an inherited trait like how monarch butterflies migrate to their winter grounds.

Either that or they have seen them being made via social media or other sources, which is more likely the case. The other thing is that apparently it does snow there, albeit infrequently. So, perhaps their older sibling or acquaintances had turned them on to that. But hey, you never know. I must admit I too thought is was interesting that they were making snow angels. πŸ™‚

My wife who lived in Metairie La. had never seen snow before coming up to Va. The first thing she did was make snow angels & was shocked that I wasn't making them. I said I'll give you about two months to enjoy snow. It lasted about 2 weeks. Because in Va. the temps rise during the day just enough to promote some melting which quickly freezes creating an icy coating. When she got out of the car and took a step forward the ice made her feet fly out from under her resulting in her landing harshly on her keister. A stream of expletives soon followed immediately afterwards.πŸ™‚

Her first experience behind the wheel of a car, sent her doing circles going forward before coming to a stop. She never got behind the wheel again after that. If there was snow or a threat of snow, I had to drive her to work. If it snowed while she was at work. I had to pick her up. Which I was more than happy to do, as she had escaped all negative consequences of what potentially could have transpired with her out-of-control experience.
