Total noob. I was there for Buckhead, but not there for “a moose bit my sister” or “all your base are belong to us”.

I remember Buckhead. He was famous and made national news during RatherGate. I also remember, "All your base ..." But I have no idea about Moose/Sister. During the next slow news day and we have some slide time available, maybe we can list some of the FR Hall of Fame subjects :)

The first that I can remember clearly was a Sunday night (I was slow on the draw) that I posted about Alec Baldwin calling for the murder of the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee (Clinton impeachment) on the Friday night Conan O'Brien show, october 1998.

I think it was the first FR thread to reach over 1000 posts. Monday Fox's Brit Hume picked up on the story and got an internet video (unusual at that time) of the incident despite NBC's effort to suppress the affair.

I was convinced I had destroyed a popular lunatic for all time; I underestimated Hollywood / television. First they starred Baldwin in an animated movie (I can't remember) to hide his face and gave it rave reviews. Soon Baldwin started appearing here and there. Now he is a big star again, despite his shooting two people, killing one of them.

The entertainment industry has totally corrupted itself and consequently a good portion of American citizens (Disney.)
