Somebody’s lying. Good thing we’re here. Now if we could just seal the border.

Then there’s the internal cancer to deal with.

Armistice - to stop the killing

Plebiscites - to put democracy (which Joe Biden allegedly loves) to work

I have a question with regards to cluster munitions.
Don’t they have to be dropped via aircraft?
How’s this going to work?

I think Putin is trying not to destroy all of Ukraine. He wants the land back they had before. But hard to know the truth when the media spins it. Wanting it to look like ukraine had a chance if we just send some more money and weapons.

Expose the DC money laundering piggy bank. Then the real fun begins.

Biden said the quiet part out loud - the reason he is giving the Ukraine cluster munitions is because we have run out of all other types of munitions to send them so they are all we have left to send.

Let that one sink in

Ukraine has run put of men to put out to take Russian fire.

Enter cluster bombs and nuclear fallout. Force multipliers as EG&G Rotron and Raytheon would print in their brochures.

I’m not sure how saying you’re an “ex-Marine” burnishes your credentials. (Written as the son of an ex-Marine.) His service record indicates he was an electro-optical ordnance repairman. Nothing wrong with that, “thanks for your service,” but it hardly gives him an edge in geopolitical analysis.

I have been active in the financial markets for 40+ years, so when I see a talking head “expert” on Fox Business or CNBC or Bloomberg who I don’t recognize I always Google him to see what his track record is.

Brian Berletic lives in Bangkok. Aside from him using various names on his videos and articles, he has consistently promoted the CCP, defended the murderous Myanmar regime, and attacked Taiwan. His central theme is that the US is interfering with Thailand in its supposed pivot to China.

Bottom line: it’s dubious that he has anything to contribute to a discussion of the Ukrainian-Russian war more than any other schmo who spends an hour or so a day reading about it on the internet.

“The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2010 (P.L. 111-117), which President Bush signed into law December 16, 2009, prohibits the provision of military assistance for cluster munitions, the issuing of defense export licenses for cluster munitions, or the sale or transfer of cluster munitions or cluster munitions technology unless “the submunitions of the cluster munitions, after arming, do not result in more than 1 percent unexploded ordnance across the range of intended operational environments.” Moreover, any agreement “applicable to the assistance, transfer, or sale of such cluster munitions or cluster munitions technology” must specify that the munitions
“will only be used against clearly defined military targets and will not be used where civilians are known to be present or in areas normally inhabited by civilians.” Subsequent appropriations laws have included similar provisions; the most recent is the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019 (P.L. 116-6), which President Trump signed into law on February 15, 2019.”

https://sgp.fas.org/crs/weapons/RS22907.pdf

“The military departments and combatant commands, in keeping with U.S. legal obligations under CCW Protocol V on Explosive Remnants of War and consistent with past practices, would continue to record and retain information on the use of cluster munitions and provide relevant information to facilitate the removal or destruction of unexploded submunitions.”

“The Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM), inter alia, bans the use of cluster munitions, as well as their development, production, acquisition, transfer, and stockpiling.”

Denmark (and other Western European countries) apparently cannot allow the use of their airspace for cluster munitions transfer. And if the cluster munitions get sent via Turkey, the Russians may arm the Kurds big time.

War is a racket by Smedley Butler. rmRead it if you haven’t already.

Quite a number of politicians on both sides of the aisle are in the pocket of the military industrial complex. How did we get here? They have no business being in politics if they’re chasing after war profits.

And yet those same politicos and bureaucrats despise the middle class who pays the bulk of the taxes! Go figure...
