The first of two Iowa teenagers who pleaded guilty to beating their high school Spanish teacher to death with a baseball bat will be sentenced Thursday morning...pleaded guilty in April to the 2021 attack on Nohema Graber in a park where the 66-year-old teacher regularly walked after school.
Prosecutors said the teens, who were 16 at the time, were angry at Graber because of a bad grade she had given Miller.
The teens acknowledged killing Graber on Nov. 2, 2021, in Chautauqua Park in Fairfield, a city of 9,400 people about 100 miles southeast of Des Moines.
The two were charged as adults, but because of their age they weren’t subject to a mandatory sentence of life without parole for first-degree murder.

And the turd rolling, Dung Beetle Party thinks guns are the problem even when it’s a six year old full of hatred because his teacher wouldn’t talk to him pulling the trigger. The RATS say they are old enough to vote. That would make them old enough for the death penalty also.
You’d be surprised how many people here at FR still think school problems are caused by teachers.
The word “teen” is deceptive. It includes 13-year olds and 19-year olds. There is a huge difference between the two.
Their age doesn’t matter. They should be hung in a public square. Unpleasant to look at, but it will cut down on the number of copycat murders.
These two clean cut youths will be welcomed additions to the prison population.
Perhaps they missed the day where they were taught about taking responsibility for one’s actions. One simply does not kill one’s teacher if one does not pass a test due to a lack of preparation.
Got to get a dig in on the people who post on FR. Why pick on us? Aren’t there enough people not on FR who think teachers are the cause of problems in schools?

Our schools are just a symptom; the ‘Real Problem’ is that we’ve evicted God’s righteousness from our government, our churches, our homes, and yes, our schools.
Just wait until the cry grows louder to legalize ‘sex with children’. That’s next...

Fix the cause, not the symptoms.
...and yes, many Freepers are myoptic and pig-headed on this issue. As such, it won’t be likely that many of them will ever be part of a solution.

What are the issues? Problems in schools covers a lot of ground.
What problems are people talking about? Teachers who are not effective? Kids who come from a culture in which doing well in school is “acting white”, and thus, causing problems for the best motivated qualified teachers, to teach such students? Violence among out of control feral youth in school, such as these boys?
We all know there are problems in schools, but what particular problems are people talking about, and what are their solutions? What do we do to be part of the solution?
You are right, there are problems aplenty. I have, on the other hand, observed that blogging about that stuff here is like farting in space. It still feels good, but dissipates quickly.
