My understanding is that the vast vast majority of actual flu cases (influenza A, B, etc) are questimated and not tested for and confirmed by a respiratory virus panel lab test. Instead, the numbers are inferred by some algorhythm of patients who DO actually present at a facility or Drs office ill, and get tested. Is that essentially correct?
