“I don’t think we’ll ever get to the 2024 election. Things will implode in Washington before that.”
— Colonel Douglas Macgregor

The youngsters don't stand a chance. Especially urban feral
rats who, without the police protecting them, will be slaughtered.
Each of our rural volunteer fire departments (we have 8 or so in our 30 square mile area) has the manpower, heavy equipment, training and personal arms each equal to a national guard unit. I'd say over 50% in some cases 75 % of the volunteers are “elderly”. Add in family members and all of the armed neighbors and you are talking a Division. As for shooting skills to the age of six years old, just ask the deer.
And remember, we are the areas that had family that lived without banks, electricity, and even gas just a little over 100 years ago.
“I hope he’s wrong about the banks or the election,, but I wouldn’t count on it”
It’s not that he’s right or wrong or that he has some super-secret intel that he is basing this off of-—instead, just like every commenter here on FR, he is simply aware of the current crisis situation and offering his few cents worth
(his currency is just worth a little more then most of ours so we take notice)
Here is the link to the entire talk by him on YouTube.
I listened to it yesterday and sent the links to friends.
It’s worth the long listen.

Me too. Unfortunately my kids still work there, however, they live across the border, in South Detroit.
He predicted failure for the Ukr Offensive correctly so far. Has had many insightful comments about the conflict such as the destruction of the gas pipeline.
He is considered a prominent contributor to US strategy and battlefield doctrine and is a military genius:
from PBS: “ n 1997, Macgregor wrote a book featuring an eerily prescient imagined scenario: a war between a U.S.-led coalition and an allied Iraq and Iran ...”
And..
“ Macgregor was “one of the Army’s leading thinkers on innovation”, according to journalist Thomas E. Ricks. He “became prominent inside the Army” when his book Breaking the Phalanx was published in 1997, arguing for radical reforms.[8] Breaking the Phalanx was rare in that an active duty military author was challenging the status quo with detailed reform proposals for the reorganization of U.S. Army ground forces.[9] The head of the Army, United States General Dennis Reimer, passed out copies of the book, but its reforms failed to win the support of the general officer corps.[10] It advocated that “the Army restructure itself into modularly organized, highly mobile, self-contained, combined arms teams that look extraordinarily like the Marine Corps’ Air Ground Task Forces”.[11] His article “Thoughts on Force Design in an Era of Shrinking Defense Budgets” was published in the Israeli Dado Center Journal.”
He was and is correct about Trump being a victim of political oppression and loyally served on his admin.
He is a firm Patriot.
He was an amazingly successful combat commander in charge of an armored group in one of our most spectacular victories in the gulf war…battle of 73 East Easting.
Really the only legitimate thing I can think of as a weakness is he thought the Russian invasion would move faster and being more immediate success.
As far as his audience being “naive” that is sheer speculation and opinion on your part.
He consistently undersells NATO’s ability to bring their weapons to bear against the Russians. He always expected the Russians to prevail. I disagree with him on that point (it’s a stalemated quagmire for both sides). I think he undersells the ability and the willingness of the state, federal and local police to go full blown Watertown, Mass at the drop of a hat. When things were made to appear to be imploding J6, DC went police state and the opposition was cowed rather easily.
He has all the credentials to give him status as “expert” and I agree with many of his positions, but I can’t get past the fact that for the past 16 months he has made dire predictions almost daily of the demise of Ukraine and “victory” for Russia and he has been wrong about nearly all of them. I say nearly because I might have missed one that came true, but none that I have seen. Since feb 22 he has predicted Ukraine would fall to the amazing Russian military. Within days initially and then with regularity did interviews stating it was inevitable and imminent. All wrong, but listening to him and if you have no knowledge of what is happening he sounds credible.
Him and Ritter are two of the biggest “the sky is falling for Ukraine and it is over….”
If interested do a search for Macgregor predictions they are something else
I have no idea how you can make that claim, he has been wrong on practically everything. He predicted Ukraine would fall in days, and since then every week, the Russian offensive to finish off Ukraine is imminent, then it does not happen, and he is back on the air predicting it again and again and again.
Well said, he sounds credible and if you want to believe what he is saying then he and Ritter are your men. But his record of predictions are abysmal.
Can’t think of one prediction, from Ukraine doesn’t stand a chance against the mighty Russian military and will fall in days to every prediction since
Truly amazing
Thanks!
So....is it time to start putting up the walls and concertina wire around our homes and property..??
I listen, but don’t trust him.
I think that’s about right.
Maybe ... but, Liberals have made DC too hot for themselves with all their lies and fraud that’s being exposed DAILY! I think that shutting things down is the only remaining card they have.
It’s all going to work out for them, so they can bust a move with their ultimate power grab! Mark that!!
bkmk
Translation: He might not be a prophet, but he calls it as he sees it. No sugarcoating like most perfumed princes do.
I guess you are totally unable to see that where you get your Ukraine info has all been total lies because we have been told they are winning when that is just not the truth. Never has been the truth.
Funny thing. The other day I was at the Thrift Store that I visit frequently as you never know what they have.
They had a brand new full big spool of barbed wire still in the box for $5. I haven’t used barbed wire in 40 years, but I purchased it.
The way things are going, I might need it to keep the dogs in the yard. Wink, wink!
That’s a good description.
He’s a realist and sees the bigger picture.
MacGregor is a nutjob.
