Yeah and someday those loans will be paid off and you will know how it feels to have done the right thing. So shut up and direct traffic.
Might be the best blue-collar job ever, you can hire on to construction, or wildcat work for a couple pool guys and be booked for a year.
Democrat: “Bunch of crybaby elitist spoiled brats.”
Should be used in all dictionaries.
They take out all of that money in loans for an “education,” and they don’t even know the Constitution.
We started learning it in grade school.
These ‘lennials and zoomers got played by a corrupt system.
But…don’t borrow money you can’t afford to pay back.
“To me, this wasn’t fair that I had to pay mine, but they were going to get a pass?”
I paid for my college classes through the Army, any re-enlistment/retention bonuses I got and MasterCard, which was always paid up to date.
This has p*ssed me off from the minute that lecherous creep Brandon opened his big mouth about this!
Bingo! The schools/instructors need to have skin in the game.
Impressive! See my Post #125.
My Mom went to school at age 40 to become an X-Ray Tech. *I* paid for her tuition and books. She paid me back after she landed a really good job with a local hospital right after her graduation. She worked for them until she was well past the age to retire - they kept throwing gobs of money at her to stay, LOL!
Yep. These things CAN be accomplished with a desire, hard work, AND no hands in the Taxpayers’ pockets!
The simple reality is, borrowing money and then not paying it back is theft. It’s stealing from whoever loaned you the money. It’s no different than if you had held a gun and taken the money away from them.
Go to a store, load your cart up with stuff, carry it out without paying and then complain that it’s unfair for the store to expect you pay for it. A physical product on a shelf is no different than any service that is sold. If there’s a price and you don’t pay it you’ve stolen it.
If you borrow money to buy a crap service like a liberal arts degree, too bad. It’s no different than if you borrowed money and bought a car that didn’t run. It’s not the bank’s fault.
Our grown kids are here this weekend. A couple were telling each other how much they had in the bank.
One owes us $6000, the other about $1400 for various small things.
I looked up and said “you owe me at least half of the $6000 this week and you owe me all $1400 this week.”
If I work my butt off, how come my butt isn’t any smaller?
LOL! ;)
Are they going to cough it up? I hope so.
I had to borrow money from my dad once. He never asked for it back, but I paid it back a year after I borrowed it. (Interest-fee - family special LOL)
Interest *free
“Your head was on fire and people were roastin’ chickens over it. … And that’s the way it was and we liked it!”
Jaysus, that was funny!! Monty Python, or your own invention?
They will. They’ve been paying it down but it’s time to be done.
The one who owes $6000 might be due for a car soon, although she works from home so doesn’t drive much. I’m not leaving her destitute but it also needs to hurt just a bit.
Great part is how well they get along. We have a long-standing family joke about things being a family staple. ( Dad jokes etc)
They enjoyed that so much growing up and beyond that they are memorializing it with tattoos of a stapler. They’re getting them right now. Wanted my wife and I to get the too but we’re not.
Hopefully it’s all muscle from workin’ that garden and raising livestock.
I really miss my Army-ready body. I know she’s in here somewhere, LOL!
The Dempanic is over. The deadbeats can start paying their bills again.
Desire and hard work are what gets them. They want things handed to them because they “deserve” it. I’m so happy that the student loan scam was shot down and so was affirmative action. They have gone too long on the taxpayer’s dime. Let’s see what they can do without them.
I’m just here for the comments.
Why not have the schools themselves provide the loans? Or hell, how about “Free” Tuition?
If there was real press, maybe they would figure out the ENORMOUS pile of $$$ the universities are sitting on. The Endowment at just a single small liberal arts college in Iowa alone that I’m aware of is around $2 Billion dollars.
Ya gotta hand it to democrats and the media. None of these genius college grads are smart enough to figure this out
